    Fuckin right, man.

Ahah. I've been invited to jam with the Allman Brothers, next month?...

I know how ridiculous that must sound? I guess I'm just as damn near puzzled, myself.

I'm about ready to call someone up, ask what they were thinking, and laugh... lmfao... but I'm not going to. I had no idea that he'd jammed on the same lawn I'd been dancing on for beered-up memorial day parties, previously. Ridiculousness is all around us, man. C'est la vie. :D

    Shit, man. :D wtf.

I met Butch's cousin at the guitar shop this morning... was playing him some 12 string and showing him some drum heads. I had no idea who he was at the time, but he had a really familiar facial shape... and it made me wonder.

I got to talking to him and find out he used to work across the street from my house, years ago, and he rented my house for awhile, back in the seventies or somesuch, I can't remember everything he said. AHAH.. he yelled "BUSTED!!!!... I know where you live" and it totally freaked me out. I thought he found rolling papers on the floor or something. :D I got to talking and told him I just got back from Bonnaroo, then he tells me he just got back from touring with Clapton in California, this morning, and had no ride, so I give him a ride back to his house and he invites me in for some tea and takes down my name and cell phone number and calls up Butch (I think he didn't think I believed him), and gets his permission.

Anyway, my mom's friend used to rent the apartment behind his house and I'd been to memorial parties there before. I had no idea he lived there and members of the Allman Brothers often drop by, when they're in town. Anyway, Hornsby may have the possibility of coming down from Williamsburg and we're all having a little get together, next month, here in Glue-chester. I haven't seen Bruce in concert in a couple years. My driving instructor/coach played baseball with him, when they were kids, and are childhood friends... so we're all family down here, in that sense. Virginia is sort of like the toned-down redneckish California that nobody mentions. I'm just starting to really get the feel for that.

Don't want to get into it more than that, on here. I was also thinking, if you ever come down this way, you should come down someday, when we are doing a get-together. Personally, I'm still kind of "what the fuck?" right now :D

Whoa... uh.. I just had a dirty thought involving Cher and... yeah.

    I shall, I shall... :D

Wtf? I don't know what to think of this. Life is friggin totally ricockulous, at times.

I know one thing, Oteil hugs sound like the shit. :D lmao, I've always found that dude to be so loving. He can scat sing like a mother, too. Not that mothers can scat sing, but you catch my drift.

I once had a dream that my pot-head art teacher from high school was in a jam band and they did a cover of the song "Jessica" and when I woke up, I had a craving for illegal drug substances and a calzone. AND HOLY FAWWK, GEORGEE!!!!!@* [IMG]

That's the only Oteil format I've never had the opportunity to go and see. I've seen him with Bobby Lee Rodgers, Codetalkers, Allman, Col. Hampton, etc. Think he was in Frogwings with Butch and Derek, too, but I can't recall some of those nineties projects. Haha, jam band musicians are in bed with everyone, so it doesn't really matter... but honestly, if it weren't for Oteil, the Allmans just wouldn't have progressed or known all the people that they do now. They're taking much more longer and wider strides now, with his influence.

But Oteil is just friggin grand... :D Egyptian from Birmingham, Alabama.

    I've always liked that combination.

Anyway, I'm seeing them July 12th @ Virginia Beach with the Drive By Truckers... I just decided that this morning, after looking them up. I had no idea they were going to be in town till I ran into that dude.

Aw shit, Primus just came on my playlist... and I totally feel like busting a move now.  Jerry was a race car driver.

I Feel Just Like a Child.

I've been listening to it on repeat surround sound for the past hour or more. :D

There is absolutely nothing like making strawberry jam and dancing your ass off to Devendra on a sunny Thursday morning. :D

I've done enough haircutting in the past couple years. I am seriously done with that shit :D

S'all dreads right now and I can't cut these heathens. :D They're like children to me. Curly hair is too damn difficult anyhow.

My relationship with Bob Dylan is very much so over now, also. Listening to his music is like bumping into an old boyfriend with whom you had a very bitter breakup.

Even if I do love him, still.

    He just makes me sad.
