I always eat meat, yes I am a terrible person. But afterwards, I feel so badly about it. I can't finish what I eat b/c I get sick to my stomach about the thought of eating a poor, defensless dead animal. But I still eat meat anyway. My parents don't understand and they won't let me get any veggie food, or let me be a vegetarian. I have tried to tell them, but they just won't listen.... :(

    I like your sig pic!

Well, youre 19. If its in your heart to be veg, be veg. Jesus, whats with these parents giving out rules and regulations to full grown adults? If they dont understand id just move out, if i was you. Its an important part of life, and your decision, no-one elses

    Good luck

Your parents don't buy fruits, vegetables, beans, rice, pasta, nuts, and grains? A veg*n diet does not have to be one based on all the highly processed, "vegetarian" foods. Assuming your parents eat healthy meals, simply doing without meat should still provide you with a healthy veg*n diet.

    just do it.

dont ask them if you can go veggie, TELL THEM you are going veggie.

you are an adult, they cant control you anymore.

    best of luck, hun :D

    I'd suggest cooking for yourself,
If you can't 'seriously' cook, get microwaveable veggie foods, which means pretty much all vegetables, soups, some meat alternatives, some rices, ready meals, baked beans...
There's alot you can do with a microwave,

Your parents won't let you get any veggie food? I highly doubt all they give you is meat. If you must still live at home and listen to your parents....just eat all the non-meat food they prepare, or make your own stuff.

I think your parents may argue that seeing as you are living with them, they shouldn't go out of their way to change their way of life because of you, now what I mean by this is that they can rightly object to cooking two meals.
however I think it would be unreasonable of them to try and stop you cooking for yourself.

basically you can't have it both ways, if your living with mom and dad at 19 then in many ways they will still try and treat you as a child.
so ethier do it yourself, that could mean taking care of your own meals or moving out.
but I really don't think at the age of 19 the 'my parents are way to strict' arguement cuts it, your an adult now.

Thats what kinda happened with me. I just started to feel very strange about eating these dead animals and I slowly just stopped. If you don't want to do something then don't do it. If you don't feel good about it then figure out a solution. Your parents will get used to it and if they don't then you can buy your own food or move out or whatever!
