why doesn't somebody start a thread about language use and abilities and leave this one to it's original meaning

 

what do you base this need to feel such sorrow for my family and friends upon? what if my family and friends are just like me? would you still feel as you do? the need to feel sorrow for others is a sign of lack of acceptence and denial of the sorrow in ones own heart.

I UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING and that is all some of us are saying we have a hard time understanding her ,and she got very defensive. period, and everyone who has defended her has come down on us the same way you say we are coming down on her. get it ? so you can take your " WISDOM "and your cute little metaphors, all your judgements, your collegiate rambling and realize that we are all in this forum for one reason, and that is advice. whether giving or receiving. and the only thing i seem to be getting is pissy people getting mad or offended because i can't understand babbling. if you can make something (after numerous people advised moving on in her situation)out of her posts congratulations , you must be up on your ebonics.....

 

a person has to be on top of many forms of communication to participate in a forum. for those forms i'm not too savvy with, i've found that it's much easier to just ask for some clarification or definition. the point is there are a few here that are taking offense to her standing up for herself. why don't you go sign up for a forum in a country that speaks a language other than english and see how you are treated and judged. i'm sure it's better treatment and acceptence than in an american one. especially one so "hip" such as this one. it also seems they're gonna kick this dead horse until they get her to leave or to back down and be a doormat. once again, that's what insecure people do. i am in no way trying to close doors to anyone. i am merely opening doors, it is their choice if they step through them.

Lorna is illiterate, she can't spell for shit, her grammar is shit, and her posts are incoherent... That is fact. But look at it like I do and put the intent of her posts over the content, and set all the bullshit aside... We all know what she is trying to say she's just a little difficult to decipher at times... Deal with it, or ignore the woman as I do...

 

I am wondering the same. I keep seeing multiple threads going off topic and centering around Lorna being attacked in this forum. If you do not like the way in which she writes, simply do not read her posts. It is honestly that simple!

I think it has more to do with using broken English than attempting to get attention. Not having much knowledge of the grammatical rules of a second language does not account for someone being illiterate or attention-seeking at all.
