I recently smoked weed for the first time, I Didn't feel a single thing. I did everything I was supposed too, big long hit, decent strength weed, and I held it in for a good 5-10 seconds.I did it several times. Nothing. I have tried again recently with the same results, So I tried eating it. I heard recently that cooking weed a certain way with oils will help release the THC and allow to get high by eating it, So I made a casadilla with lots of cheese and about a gram of weed in it. I microwaved it for about a minute so that the oil off the melted cheese would heat up and have enough heat to disolve the weed some. This too failed to get me high. Am I doing something wrong? has anyone ever heard of someone having a natural immunity to weed? whats going on?
It's ok, I didnt get high untill like 5th or even 6th time I smoked. Just keep on trying... btw make sure you actually inhale the hits as in getting them in your lungs not just in your mouth. to do this proprely take a hit then inhale some air afterwards and hold the hit. it's a little harsh the first few times but you'll get used to it. Offcourse if you already smoke cigs this paragraph is useualess coz you perfectly know how to do it so just keep trying sooner or later you'r gonna feel it
Honestly I dont know why you arent getting high. My first time my friend had the most crazy chronic ever and we blazed out of his pipe and I got ripped. I donno just smoke some good weed.
took me about 4 - 5. i was an idiot and didnt inhale. when you take a drag off a pipe or joint. before exhaling take a deep breath with the smoke in your mouth so it goes into your lungs.
a problem that my friend had was that he was actually swallowing the smoke, took him a few tries before he got it right, hehe.
p.s. a minute for your cheese quesadilla was not long enough. it was barely starting to melt before you took it out and ate it. i would have heated it very slowly on the skillet instead. and did you grind up the weed to maximize the surface area on the cheese? 1g should have had you comatose.
Its plain and simple, if you do not get high that means your not inhaling. Theres really no other explanation i can think of. Good luck and remember, if the weedsmoke is in your mouth, it doesnt do anything, it needs to be in them lungs!
This is funny to me because just two nights ago my best friend and I smoked up another friend for the first time. We only let her take a small hit out of a bong because it was her first time and we didn't want her getting too blazed. She started complaining that she wasn't feeling anything then about 5 minutes later she started FREAKING out and saying that she wanted us to take her to the hospital immediately. We helped her crawl to the door leading outside from my basement to get her some fresh air. She explained how she was feeling by saying that all the bad things she's ever felt in her entire life is what she was feeling at that exact moment. She started to cry loudly and my best friend and I couldn't do anything except return glances with each other. She was eventually able to stand, but she continued to complain throughout the entire high saying that it was a really annoying feeling. I guess some people are extremely responsive to marijuana and others are completely unreceptive... hmm hmm hmm. EDIT: changed wording. this makes more sense now...lol sorry.
I dont know why so many people dont get high their first time. I was fuckin BLITZED. Try tokin like two bowls outta your bong, and try to take bigger hits. And try cooking with about 2 grams, in the oven. If that doesn't get you baked, give up because your wasting weed haha.
Probably it's related to wether the person who's smoking pot is already familiar with the smoking process or not. What I mean is that a person who already smokes cigarettes, shisha, or hand rolled tobacco for example, probably has higher probabilities of getting high his first time then a person who never tried inhaling any kind of smoke before. with that said though, I admit I have a friend who was already a heavy tobacco smoker when he first tried it, he smoked off joints with a very close friend of mine who had a minimum of 3 years experience under his belt.... still he didnt get high. I personally hotboxed that same person in my car, smoking two king size bob marlys, windows closed and all for like 15 minutes and he didnt get high. So I dunno maybe it's true....some ppl just dont get high their first few times...
Yeah, I understand a huge problem is not inhaling correctly, but like you said, some people still cant get high. And I dont even see what is so baffling about the concept of inhaling. We inhale air for our ENTIRE LIFE. Its no different, just breathe the shit into your lungs. Do you have any idea what may cause somebody who inhales correctly to not get high on their first time? Is it their body simply fighting the drug off, as it sees it as an invader? Everyone I know who has smoked has all gotten pretty baked their first time. That sucks for you guys who cant, you're missing out on a great time!
The first time I Smoked ever (and dint get high) the guy I was smoking with told me that it has something to do with your immunity trying to fight off the effects of the drug of the first few times. dunno if it's true...
This probably doesn't help your situtation, but I got high my first time. Make sure you suck the smoke into your mouth and take a quick breath of air to suck the smoke nto your lungs. You should have coughed your first times.
this is definately a matter that needs studying. however it would make a huge difference whether it is the immune system (which has a lot of cannabinoid receptors) or smoking technique. but the results would either be important physiology (if its the former) or unimportant sociology or anthropology or something (if its the latter)
your body doesn't magically fight it off. there's no reason an adult should not get high their first time smoking. children, however, physiologically cannot get high (i'm not sure until what age) because they're lacking certain cannabinoid receptors. if an adult doesn't get high, though, my best guess would be that it is psychological--that they're expecting certain effects and not getting them or that they aren't recognising the effects?
