Bathing Suit

So... if a guy calls his choice of outfit for doing activities in water a bathing suit, does that make him feminine, less of a man, girly, gay, whatever morons would say?

 

sometimes. if you're pretty, coy and sensual in a Brando kind of way than, yeah.

 

Only if said swimwear is pink and has a matching bikini top.

 

I thought that was called good taste, should I stop wearing mine?

Well no, silly. The rules are different when you're gay. I learned that in theatre while I was in high school. Wear your bikini proudly and proclaim that you are indeed worthy of a pageant title. imp2:

 

What made me bring this up is this:

I work in a Car Dealership, in the detail department and I'm a very open-minded person, nice, non-judgemental, etc.. etc... and I don't think twice about how I say things, however I say it is how I say it, I'm who I am. So, I said something about me wearing a "bathing suit" and one of the mechanics called me gay... it frustrated me, haha... I didn't understand why saying bathing suit made me gay... is a bathing suit only something a woman wears?

It's not manly to say bathing suit, apparently you have to say trunks, board shorts, something manly like that...

I've always said there's a big difference in being a man and being manly...

I'll add that I live in the middle of the bible belt in Asheville, NC. So of course, a mechanics shop is going to home the most intense southerners.

 

better yet, tell him that masculinity as an obsession of gay people.
that being obsessed with masculinity/femininity, is the first sign of insecurity about one's own gender.

i don't know how you get that through that kind of dorks head, but is a simple reality.

also that ALL gender based behaviours, male or female, gay OR streight, are ALL phony bullshit put-ons and phonier then a damd three dollar bill.
