Can you bake with soy milk, and use it like cows milk in things like potato casseroles and such??
Or will it be all wierd?
Because I love to bake, but cows milk grosses me out.

I've used it in sweet things - like rice pudding & muffins and it works wonderfully.

I made mac & cheese for my kids with it once, and it was SO nasty! I don't use it in non-sweet recipes anymore. Ricemilk seems to be just a bit better for those.
    love,
    mom

Well I personally wouldn't just sub soy for dairy milk in a regular omni dish, have done it before and sometimes the food came out weird as the milks have diffrent flavours. You can get unsweetened soya milk, but even then there's still an issue with the diffrent consistencies.

Instead I just use vegan recipes for baking and such, those all turn out great and you can't tell they're vegan so omnis like them too. The post punk kitchen has some awesome ones.

I don't really notice the difference in taste, I use soymilk for most things. Maybe its because I use unsweetened, I bet sweetened soymilk would make things taste weird. So try unsweetened.

try "instant" soy milk instead, which is soft tofu whizzed in a blender with water.

There's also Coconut-Milk, easy to get in Asian supermarkets.
However, it has six times the calories.
