I was just at wholefoods yesterday. I was going to buy some hemp milk, but it was seriously $4.00 for a quart. You most likely don't have a Wholefoods in Australia. I asked around why hemp milk cost so much and the response that I got from most people was that it is harder to make. Also, I was told that locals typically make it, so there is not a big production of it. I still have yet to taste it, but it's really expensive!

If you want a substitute for cow juice, consider coconut cream. To cook with it does just the same job as ordinary milk and is available in most supermarkets. I have seen hemp oil for sale in a health food shop in Murwillumbah but it was pricey. I think I have asked before are the Omega-3's long chain or short chain types? Most people consume too much Omega-6's.
