Here are 2 snippets that a president said about war: '...draw the line...' 'Once we get (them) to take over the fighting...' Do you know which president said them?
Last time I saw Bin Laden he was taking long strides, (aided by his cane now and then) over the mountain side. He was wearing robes and had a long beard. Made me proud to be human. Ya know he used to be a billionair but lately his status in life has taken a marked downturn; he's taken to living in caves. OK, I didn't see him personally, it was just on the boob tube!
LOL Sorry to leave y'all hanging Clues: (them) = Vietnam 'We need to draw a line somewhere' (but I'm not going to guarentee that this is the exact quote since it isn't as fresh in my mind...but it's durn close) That should narrow it down quite a bit
It has to be either Kennedy, Johnson, or Nixon. Unless I have a huge mental block, which is entirely possible, those three were the only ones that were presidents during Vietnam.
Doesn't sound like Nixon, Nixon was a Quaker, the operative word here is "was;" sounds more like some backwoods country ignoramus; my guess is Johnson.
Opps, (buzzzz) sorry, wrong answer. It was Nixon. We watched the film 'US vs John Lennon' the other night & it was soooo freaky seeing Nixon speak words so close to what Bush has spoken (ie-'We must draw a line in the sand.' & 'Once we get the Iraqis to take over the fighting we can bring our troops home.')
I believe you just stated the point. Is there some war manifesto out there that has key phrases to rile folks up?
