I just bought a jar of San Pedro powder (1750grams). Ready to give that stuff a try. Just having to acquire a Digi first so I can see how much I'm taking, heh.
sign me up on the convenient powdered list, san pedro even in raw pulp form is an amazing experience, yowzagh, kind of beautiful and perfect it is how a single stalk of san pedro or peruvian cactus grows a full adult dose(about 12"x3") in about a year, has anyone here used a jack lalaine juicer for grinding pulp and extracting juice before boiling with lemon? i bought one a few months back and immediately misplaced or tossed in the garbarge by accident the piece of the juicer that shoves everything down onto the blade. so far i like my jack lalaine jucer, i burn calories cleaning the thing after use, otherwise it dries and becomes like oatmeal cement. later mescaline heads, smiley spring time, and the time is right for tripping in the streets, in the forests, on the moon, across the pastures, tripping in the streets.
So, the powder tastes worse than the damned plant material. UGH! I cant seem to get it down. I should do an extraction, or something. Cause this is brutal.

"exitium" s IPA technique a couple of pages back on cactus forums works exactly as he describes. Capsules, no taste, product delivered, and away you go.
Don't eat it plain! Mix it with or water or soda water and drink it. Gel caps will get the job done, but you have to take quite a few and it gums up your digestive tract for a while. I stopped doing the gel caps because it increases the already substantial body load for me. Btw, my dose with powder is 20-30g. Basically as much as I can down before one more sip will cause me to puke.
The best way to prepare the powder is to take 25g and boil it in 1 part lemon juice to 2 parts water. Bring the potion to a hard boil then pour through a baking strainer. take the cactus bulk from the strainer and reboil with a fresh lemon water solution. Repeat this step 1 more time for a total of three boils. Use small amounts of solution,just enough to cover the powder each time you boil it. remember non aluminum pots and or pans. take all three boils and combine them as you go an at the end strain through a reusable coffee filter. put lquid in a 12 oz water bottle and let cool. enjoy e
There is really no way of knowing without doing the full extraction and comparing the two yields, or at least a bioassay. One study showed t. peruv. yielding 0.82% of the alkaloid of interest and another had shown a range in t. pach. of 0.1 to 2.4% This means that 30 grams of t pachanoi could contain 33 mg to 710 mg of the alkaloid. And t. peruvianus (assuming exact homology to the study---yeah right), 246 mg. My best wild guess is 225 mg/30g of t. pach and 250 mg/30 g of t. peruv. Keep in mind it could be much lower (essentially none) or much higher. So any members of the church of native americans may be adviced to bioassay at 20-30 g and work up from there. If absolutely no aeffect then tripple dosage after several days (at least 3), preferably two weeks. If it is a very mild effect then just double the amount...and so forth.
