what are peoples jobs in here? or the way they make their money? i have a job and i hate it, iam trying to find a new one.
does anyone have any cool jobs?

I babysit, do a bit of very simple landscaping from time to time, and I sew clothes and purses and stuff to sell.

I am a tech/faller for a survey company.

 

I've had my own landscaping business for two years and have worked on and off in the commercial seafood business, doing seafood distribution, taking orders for restaurants mostly between Philly and Savannah. I also was a cook for awhile, but can't stand shitty little chain restaurants, for the most part...

I also play little cafes and stuff in Richmond, sometimes, but that's mostly because I just like to get out and play... those kindsa gigs only really cover gas and a little extra money here and there. Actually, I could probably make more busking, if I really tried.

Right now, I'm just doing the landscaping thing on and off and traveling. Probably going to do some school this fall, maybe.

 

i assistant manage at a particular extremely corporate pizza store

 

I work in a large beer/wine/liquor factory. It is a pretty crazy job, not very safe, constant physical labor. I love it.

 

Oh yeah, and I never work for a company or provide a service I never use myself... One of my golden rules.

 

i work at two local business (supporting local businesses is good! .. usually). One I'm in charge at, its retail. The other is just for money, cause although I'm in charge at the first one I still make unlivable wages. Thus the second one is at a restaurant, cause tips can make you a lot of money if you have a cute smile and all that jazz.
I want to get a new job, but i'm busy. Student and volunteer kind of are other non-paying jobs that take up a lot of time.

I work at two video stores owned by the same guy... I run one of them. While I primarily busk for self-amusement I sometimes bring in much more than I make in a 12-hour day at the video store.

Its a pretty sweet life.

 

Ummm...I actually never worked.

 

By my standards, I guess I haven't, either, but it sure as hell works...

 

I never did until this year.... while I do not regret it, I see now that working is much better than not working.

Though not many people would say the work I do is actually work... as I still manage to read, play guitar, play basketball, and come online at work and do each long enough to where I get sick of it all.

 

Yeah, I used to be able to take an hour or two lunchbreak, come home, make lunch, come online, watch tv/play guitar or something, stop by the library or get gas, etc. and still be the first one back to open up the boathouse...

I hate taking breaks. I know can be a workaholic sometimes and I always end up paying for it by the end of the day...

 

Well, the thing is, I don't know if there is anything else I could possibly do at this video store. Its not like I'm lazy.... I've just done everything that needed to be done. This place was a trash heap when I started here... now its all so clean and orderly that if it were a man I'd want it to propose to my daughter. :H Which I won't be having anytime soon. :H
