God, I'm so sick of this time of the year. Now I realize why pep rallies aren't the most horrible, disguting things in the world. Good thing there's always homeschooling and whatnot.
I skipped prom and got drunk on a beach instead, we celebrated that it was prom by facing the (approximate) direction of school and screaming "woooooo fuck you school!!" it was a wonderful, wonderful experience
It was extremely liberating *not mentioned: the horror of trying to walk 3 miles back to a backpackers hostel through a town you don't know drunk and carrying a surfboard
I've.... sorta been in situations like that, though. Try finding your house on more than just a couple hits of LSD that you didn't have any intent on taking, while being chased by God knows what, on the main street of your town, after curfew... also with a dead cell phone and keys that keep dissapearing and reappearing... then you find out your cell phone actually wasn't dead and there aren't any creatures in the trees, trying to get you. Me neither. Home is in my head. That's a very soothing statement I've come to realize. I live by it. The only other thing that could be as soothing, in that state of mind, is walking it off by, playing an instrument of some sort and watching infomercials... lmfao. Then you realize your friend's dogs are tripping too, because you've been sweating and petting them... and then you hug them and tell them it's going to be alright, then have a guilt trip. Purely ridiculous, purely ridiculous...
i had fun.as ghetto as the music was i danced a couple times.i think i had the poofiest dress there.everyone kept stepping all over it.after a while you just kinda stop caring.what sucked about it was that i had a headache the whole night.why do these things always happen to me?the food sucked also.it was just a bunch of random shit on a plate. afterwards was pretty awesome.a friend had a fire in his backyard. didn't sleep all night.went to ihop around 6 then slept until 12 and came home. i called out of work then once i woke up i realized i had enough energy to go but i guess it's too late now. i guess i'll have photos soon
You don't have Waffle House up in Mass, do you? I've never been that far North, so I always wonder about regional things like that. I prefer Waffle House, but IHOP is generally closer to me. Though, I haven't been to Waffle House in a year or two. I'll probably stop at one on my way to Tennessee (I think if you're traveling Southbound, stopping at a Waffle House is pretty much a given obligatory.) I'll probably stop and load myself with a few cups of coffee and a bigass stogie. Those two things make a fine cocktail for road trippin (good RHCP song, too). Biscuitville is also pretty friggin awesome. And dangit Henry, what about Chattanooga or something? If you're busy, I understand, but I don't want to leave you hanging/be left hanging.. meg is already on her way down and we're probably meeting at the Food Lion, on Hillsboro, in Manchester... just lettin you know, if you're interested. Probably be camping out there or Wal-Mart till the gates open @ Thursday 7am, so y'all know where to stalk. I really don't know wether to leave tonight or tomorrow morning. I'm really anxious to just drive there right now and go for a hike in the mountains, but I should sleep first. Figure I'll take a nap and let it come to me.
theres something called biscuitville?! i must one day go (although i'm not a big biscuit person). i like dennys over ihop, if its a good dennys. most dennys arent good though... but when you find one that is, mmm.. (can you tell i went on vacation via car as a kid?)
Yeah... I love Shoney's too They remind me of Denny's. I love Americana, when it comes down to pseudo-good restaurants and road trips. Biscuitville is only in NC and VA, that I know of. Mostly in parts of Southern Virginia that most people repulse, like Danville and South Boston. I'm not really a big biscuit person either, unless they're good biscuits. Actually, the headquarters for both Biscuitville and the headquarters/first krispy kreme place (not big on donuts, though) ever built is just down the street, in Greensboro. My grandmother also lived there... Clay Aiken lived a few blocks down and the drummer for the Squirrel Nut Zippers was my grandma's neighbor, I think either when she lived in Graham or somewhere near Chapel Hill. Then, James Taylor's dad was still either the president or a dean at UNC-Chapel Hill, for awhile, when I was living there. Bonnie Raitt was there for awhile, back when my grandparents were living there in the 50s and 60s. She babysat my dad and his friend back then... she wasn't known or anything, yet. My uncle went to UNC and I always used to want to. I miss NC a lot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biscuitville Hardee's (or Carl Jr., rather) has some horrible biscuits, compared to biscuitville.
to be honest i don't like ihop that much.i think we have a waffle house somewhere in mass.not sure where to be exact.i prefer diners and whatnot. and i love me some biscuits i found out a while ago that there is no such thing as linguica pizza outside of new england.is that true?
well, fuck, i havent had shoneys since i was like.. 8 years old. it was good. my favorite restaurants are .. as best as i can describe them.. the small town breakfast places with "homestyle" waffles, brown coffee mugs filled with folgers (although thats awful coffee) and some waitress who looks like she's always been a part of the place.
i'm pretty sure there's a waffle house in the next town over and i'm in ohio; not quite mass. but far from the south too. as far as linguica, i work for papa john's and we just had that (nationwide) a couple months ago, though they got rid of it after a month because that's what they do.
Best post-party breakfast ever? Bon's, Off Broadway... In Vancouver. 2.99 decent sized breakfast, waiters who work there because its fun - they don't get paid.
