I really hate the way that the police and agents used to treat people in America, during the vietnam war especially. Those students that got killed during their protest, 18 yr olds being shot for speaking their minds, its ridiculous and inhumane! And Jim Morrison had been kicked the shit out of by police before a number of times for being 'anit-establishment' etc and john lennon was bugged and followed by fbi agents for months. wtf happened to freedom of speech? Martin Luther King aswell? Why didn't anybody stop them and why wern't they punished? It just pisses me off I HATE THE PIGS!
What I find interesting is that we will talk non-stop about a very few Vietnam Vets returning from the war getting spit on, but almost no one wants to talk about how many war protesters were imprisoned, beaten and even killed in the same time period.
Be that as it may, let's face facts. Without the police, there would be a breakdown of order; there would be anarchy. Sadly, people need to be controlled, and even if some of them are corrupt, they are doing a very important job, and we would miss them if they weren't here.
I'm so sad about how people need to be controlled that I'm crying my eyes out over it, and I'd also be devestated if the police weren't here, Oh, how I would miss them, even if some of them are corrupt, and just the mere thought of anarchy makes me want to crawl into a corner and shiver for the rest of my life.
fuck back then ive been beat by cops now. Anybudy been to jail shit its way worst then it use to be we need to do something now. What they did to Lennon was extreem back then but there is people in my town getting followed and taped by the police shit im not even suprised if there is a cop watching these forums. I think my phones are taped as well they make clicky noises its fucked up so Lets fight for now not back then.
oh yea...i have a story for you guys.... just recently in colorado springs Colorado...where i live...there was a st. patricks day parade. a group of people got together, made green shirts with huge black peace signs on them and they walked in the parade. they were protesting the wars and had signs protesting. a local free newspaper called the independant snapped a few pictures of what was going on. the police and cops were beating the protestors!!! they drug an older lady on the ground and she pulled down her pants for the cameras and showed the bruises left. i thought this was damn crazy and pretty interesting as well! catch ya later!
Yeah I herd about that I think it was the week before 420 but that school shooting news got it out of the headlines
this isn't about the need for police. ofcourse we need the police to protect us from people who can't controll their greed, anger and whatever people do more to hurt each other. this is about people being beaten up while they are practising democracy, which is one of the most serious crimes a democratic state can be found guilty to. people should always have the right to speak out their minds even though it is a opinion directed against the establishment
I wasn't saying that we shouldn't have police, god where would we be without them? It's just the corrupted ones who think it's alright to beat innocent people because of their 'extreme' opinions. Also, i think the way police work has a lot to do with higher members of the establishment who are giving out the orders, to tape and monitor people etc, its just the establishment argghhhh we just need democracy!!
yeah, everybody says fuck the police but we have to remember that the police are just doing their jobs. we need to change the saying to, "fuck the law" or "fuck the establishment"
nah pigs smell worst then anything there filthy animals and are less then humans I hate all cops the only reason most of them are cops is its all they can be so fuck the police
they're all the same all over the world. they are waged mindfucked subalterns in charge to ensure that nothing ever changes. lead to the pigs.
Had I been alive in the sixties I'd be protesting against the war in vietnam! In fact, I bet I'd be one of the hippies being dragged off by the hair. I would have stood up for what I believe in and that's peace! Peace and love wished to one and all.
Good point. But don´t you know why is it so ? Because, they´re ,,fought for country", not ,,against establishment".
ehh. when authority doesnt hear what they want to hear from the people they govern.. they react out of righteous discontent. which is an inapproriate and disgusting. the sad thing is.. we all need authority. the level of authority is flexible and debatable.. but what isnt debatable is the need for some presence of authority. controlling people need to realize their need to be flexible as well. rigid ruling causes backlash and disruption in the community. im not saying we dont need the police. im just saying that they need to respect conflicting viewpoints and not act on the accord of some disgruntled lieutenant officer.
when people say they want anarchy, they have no idea what they're talking about. first of all, anarchy is impossible. everything has structure. so someone takes your car at gunpoint? that's structure. and that kind of structure, thrust upon you all of a sudden, is terribly frightening. in the weeks following hurricane katrina in my community, we had that. the phones were down and the roads were completely obstructed, so people stole, looted, murdered and raped all over the place. people enforced their own rules, which meant sleeping on your porch with a pistol in your hand to protect your family and property. not knowing if you're about to be broken in on and hurt is very scary. it's even scarier to know that you are completely alone in the fight and that it may be days before your body is found. so i suggest you live through "anarchy" before you say anything on the subject. another thing to keep in mind about cops is, small town police have totally boring days. big city fuzz get put in life threatening situations all the time. both are paid an absolutely shameful salary and have people acting like dicks to them all day. i know a highway patrolmen who says that everytime he pulls someone over, he doesn't know if thats their license they're getting out or a gun and that he's always scared it may be the latter. yes, brutality, racial profiling, and low levels of tolerability for differences are problems, but consider how crappy their jobs are and how little they get in return, besides us calling them pigs.
