I've had an idea for the forums, I wanna see what you think of it. A spiritualism forum for the UK, we have one for books, one for arts and crafts and I thought we should have a spiritualism forum. So, how does it sound, and if it gets the vote ill ask skip about it.
This idea has come up before, and I'm not opposed to it. Even though spiritualism isn't personally my cup of tea, I'm happy to provide a space within this community where people can discuss their beliefs. If there is enough support for the idea, then I'll ask Skip about creating such a forum. However, the best thing to do would be to wait until the new community group feature comes in. This should give us a much greater, much more independent scope, and I think that would be the perfect time to think about further expansion forum wise....
Aye, there'd certainly have to be enough support for it to justify it. One way to ensure that might be to incorporate it into a general hippy lifestle forum, which will also take in sustainable/eco/alternative living, which I know Jonny was very keen on....
I'd be interested. Not religious but I find religion/spirituality fascinating, and do like to discuss it.

ENOUGH SUPPORT ? as some people know i myself asked for a spiritual forum to be considered a good while ago now (but sadly nothing came of it )......as for support for example (i hope we get it ) i rarely visit the fairly new book forum man but i certainly supported it "and look how that has grown " also i think a spiritual forum would / could bring more frequent members to the uk forum and some interesting subjects . we all visit uk hip forums for all different reasons " hope this does happen ......
i think it would be interesting to have a spirtual/philosophical forum. might help broaden peoples horizons .. i might not be into religion or anything but i love discussing ideas. i think if someone wanted to talk about spiritual or philosophical things in the main forum it might end up with a ton of posts of people taking the piss out of others ideas. if it was in its own area then people would know going into it what to expect and to have a level of respect ... well, at least that's how i look at it. i never saw your request for that Paul... maybe it was before my time?

I support the idea of a spiritulist forum even if others don't. I think, hell why not. Something new. Anything new can only do good for this forum
I think "spiritualism" is too limiiting a title, but I'd favour having a space where people could talk about religion/spirituality/philosophy/whatsitallabout etc. How about "MBS"?
Like I always believe, we could probably work out the title. So not just spiritulism but maybe allowing for a broader genre. I think maybe it might not work but I am not going to crush it as I feel that a bit of positive attitude is quite needed. I say don't be discouraged.
