Hi! Every since i was little i didnt really like meat...but i mean i eat it sometimes. *shrug* but i dont know, since a week or so ago, ive been grossed out by meat. i have tons of pets n i keep thinking of them when i eat meat at resturants and what not. however, i was wondering, if i decide to go full on ALL vegitarian, what vitiamins would i be missing??? and how do you get them? take vitiamin supplement pills? thanks!
If you eat a healthy diet as a strict vegetarian (vegan) then the only thing you should be concerned about is vitamin B12. You can get this from a suppliment in pill or spray form, from many fortified foods such as soy, rice, etc milks and cereals, or nutritional yeast.
What vitiamins would i be missing??? None ... assuming you do the research in healthy vegetarian diets, and put that into practise. There's nothing in meat that you can't get from a plant sources (well aside from cholestrol and other junk you don't need). And how do you get them? By eating a healthy varied diet, it's very simple once you get the hang of it. Take vitiamin supplement pills? It's your call. I personally don't, just never felt the need from a health perspective. And I don't like the idea of depending on pills. I would highly recommend investing in a copy of 'Becoming Vegan' (by Brenda Davis & Vesanto Melina). Even if you don't go vegan it's still really useful.
