Alright so here's the situation: My boyfriend and I were having sex. It was a little rougher than usual. After he came and cleaned up and everything, he looks down and there's this lump about the size of a nickel, right below the head. It was never there before so we're assuming that it happened during sex. It's kind of red and slightly hurts. (Neither of us have anything by the way so it's not an STD of any kind). My question is; what is this lump? I'm thinking it's just a bruise or maybe a hematoma or something from hitting something inside because the sex was rough. Any other ideas? (This just happened tonight by the way)
To be honest, the only way of finding out is going to the doctor, which i think is the wiser thing to do since you dont know if it may cause any kind of damage.
sounds to me like HPV human pupolomiva viruse it can show up at any time whats so ever rather just haveing sex or from the time he got dressed in the morning till the time he went pee the first time The only true way to know is to go to a doctor if it is as i suspect yes it will hurt for a few days dont put nothing on it and it will go away usually within 7-14 days if this happens agian weather it be in a month or in a year then he should deffinatly go to the doctor to get medication to try to help I reccomend useing condoms for the next few weeks and maybe untill both of you are tested so to prevent transfer of whatever it may be
What makes you think neither of you have an STD? Some of them, like HPV (aforementioned) do not even show symptoms for a while until one day they just pop up on you, no pun intended. Yet it is still very much an STD (HPV that is. If he has it, which I don't know because I am not a doctor and this is all happening over the internet anyway, where no one can accurately diagnose you)
umm, i would go check with or without health insurance. It could be something sirious. It could be cancerous or whatever, or it could have even been there before and not notice, or it could have grown. The best advise i could give if you really didnt want to go to the doctors is give it a little while to see if swelling goes down
How do you know neither of you have an STD? You mentioned neither of you have health insurance so I'm sure neither has been tested.
Wow, you guys really don't know how to read, or spell for that matter. I said that HE doesn't have health insurance RIGHT NOW. It's not that neither of us has ever been checked before. I'd check before you were "sure" about anything.
Right, but even if you have been tested, there is no test for HPV in males (cite - note that the test for females is usually done with a pap smear, did you have one?) so you still wouldn't know if he had it until he developed genital warts. The point is that there just is no 100% certainty that neither of you has an STD, and it sounds like one or both of you very well may.
you can go to the county health clinic if you don't have insurance but it may be just a blood blister, i get them from sex.
It could be chafing of the skin of the shaft. Try polysporin on it, or hydrocortisone cream. If that does not clean it up after a few days, see a doctor.
He went to the doctor and he said it was a blood blister if anything because he wasn't having problems ejactulating or pissing. The doc said the best advice was to just lay off having sex for awhile, which we have. It's shrunk to the size of a pea, if not smaller. I think he's got a follow-up soon but so far, it's looks like it's clearing up. : )
i was gonna say that thats what it might be, or not even a blister but the skin just below the head from excessive pulling (that can come from rouch or dry sex) can cause a lumping of the underlying tissues that usualy goes away after a number of hours
