I have a question that; not to use a pun, but is simple. I have been studying taoism for a while now, as well as many other religions, but I have a question that no one has been able to answer. How can I simplify my life?-where should I start?
Do you really want to simpify your life? Think about it. Where are you now? Is a simple life really what you want?
I think I would have more time and feel more spiritual. I would love to focus on more then having to worry about such complicated things.
Simplifying means getting rid of clutter - be it physical items or emotional baggage. EX. A simpler life for me would be to throw away my cell phone and computer, to which I am a slave.
i always found thats its from the heaviest of burdens i received much of my deepest and most spiritual moments. it sounds impossible but by working through difficult burdens that complicated my life, i learned the most and put to practice many teaching i never knew i could. don't be hasty to remove things. you loose what shapes you that way. without complications...the biggest accomplishment may be missed....but i suppose its a matter of who you are and what you think will be your driving force. i still say don't be too hasty.
By removing that which prevents it from being simple. I hear that slaves and beggars have simple lives. You might try doing one of those. In general, the more you're willing to give up, the simpler your life will become. After considering that, is simplicity really your goal?
