powerstrip graphics utility

This utility seems useful. It has a gamma control that I'm using to boost the black levels on my monitor. My monitor makes the gray scales appear too dark and doesn't have a gamma control.

yeah thats a great utility I use it on a computer with a monitor so old it doesnt have a driver - look careful and you'll see it actually allows you to create your own driver sets for monitors
