Even though I am only young I am experiencing much pain from arthritis in my wrists, knees, fingers, and elbows. I cannot sometimes hold things, and just moving my fingers can cause me to have great pain. I dont want to keep taking this nonesensical rubbish the doctor is giving me, what natural remedies are there ?

I have had arthritis since I was 12 years old. My daughter is 7, and has it all her live. And I'm allergic to just about every prescription/OTC aid out there.

Wet heat helps. Soak in a warm tub, or stick a damp washcloth in the microwave for 30 seconds & place that on the sore limbs. Make sure you get plenty of your B-vitamins too. They're supposed to help reduce swelling, and there's got to be at least something to that because when I'm not getting enough, I hurt more. And routine exercise... things that will keep those sore limbs limber, but not over-stress them. For the fingers especially, get one of those "stress balls" and just squeeze it & roll it through your fingers several times a day... it's an old piano-lesson trick that's helped me for years.

Natural anti-inflammatories should help. I can't take them, but the ones I know of for sure are: raspberry leaf, chamomile, devil's claw, ginger, willow, and nettles. I know that several of these have contraindications with different prescriptions, so be sure to check with a doctor first.

Extra collagen is supposed to help too - somthing like a daily supplement of glucosamine & chondroitin is supposed to help immensely. I haven't tried that myself because of my allergies, but it might be worth a shot?

Good luck! Hope you can find some relief! ((((((hugs!!!))))))
    love,
    mom

Thank you there is a lot to think about there. Thank you very much indeed !

This all came about in just one year. Last year at this time I was just begining to notice my knees ached more every now and then and my feet, now it is as I said before but on a daily basis - resting my joints hurts them and moving them hurts them I sometimes take two or three baths a day because the heat helps a great deal -

Krill oil I will certainly try and all the things you suggest homeschoolmama

    thanks

Your welcome smackjack. I had a serious knee injury, and also had surgery on my back due to a ruptured disc. I tried everything to help alleviate the inflammation. Continued use of anti-inflammatories was not an option for me, as the are harmful to the kidneys. Krill oil worked wonders, and also helped with pain.
