Im a 16 yr old boy. Ther is a girl who i have been friends with for a yr or so. She is 14 I asked her to go a dance/party/club with me. She couldn't go, (fair enoughas i asked her abou 4 hours before it started) Instead we agreed to go bowling today.

She has flu. Thinking about it she didn't sound well yesterday. So she siad she was really sorry and agreed we should arrange a date next week.

My friend thinks she trying to gently tell me no. I don't think this is the case however as:

. She sounded genuinely ill yesterday.
. She has agreed on another date.
. I think she would just tell me no.

So what do you think. Id also like tips on when first kiss should be (if all goes well) Im not like trying to get her pants off, i just want to kiss her and i think i may be in love with her.

    Help!

    Hiya chili pepper :)

I was 16 when I met my future husband. And our first date had to be cancelled because I ended up catching the flu too... it really does happen. Maybe you could call her up to wish her well? That would melt just about any girls' heart.

If she sounded sick, and you think she'd have just told you no... I'd go with your heart and trust that she really did just come down sick at a bad time.

First kiss... my first kiss was a chaste kiss on the forehead, and that was after our second date. Girls do remember these things - and somehow NOT being kissed full on the lips the first time really endeared me to him. We kissed after our 5th date - and we'd seen each other about a dozen times by then outside of dating as well. Might be a bit more chaste than most, but by the time he kissed me *I* was ready to kiss him back too :)
    love,
    mom

You said she sounded ill yesterday? She could have made excuses to you yesterday. It sounds to me like she was sick yesterday, and was hoping she felt well enough by today to go out with you!

I say give her another chance. I think she likes you.

Hey bro, don't get it into your head that you love her so soon. Worst case scenario, you dig yourself a huge hole which you eventually fall into. Put some of those feelings on hold for a while, okay? Nobody knows how well it's gonna work out for you two. Besides, you may just be infatuated. Ya know? Everybody feels that stuff, the trick is learning how to discern infatuation from love. That is, if you believe in love. :]

rasprophesy, that's not true. I met my husband when I was a sophomore in high school. We've now been together for 15 1/2 years, and celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary.

Several of my friends married their high-school sweethearts as well. Relationships in high school CAN work out. It depends on the couple.

lol... You're only two years apart. So are DH & I. Most couples I know are about 2-3 years apart.

Keep in mind that certain things will be considered illegal two years longer for her than you, and you'll be fine. ;)
    love,

Give her a chance. Some 14 year old girls are not ready to date, and there may be parental opposition. Check this out.

Plan a weekend date like bowling or a movie which can be very easy to arrange. Do you drive? If not, take this into account as to how you plan your date.

The kiss? You will know when it is a good time to do it.
