    How the fuck can you compare a Nazi to a vegetarian, without being an ignorant piece of shit. That's like comparing an anti-abortionist to a fucking suicide bomber. Quit trying to justify your sins with these ad-hominem attacks, realize that you are living a barbaric lifestyle, and quit trying to bring us down for rising above what has become commonplace. You must admit, if this shit were not perpetuated in our society (ripping the flesh off of a sentient being and dining on it like fucking vultures) it would never occur. I'm sorry that you aren't comfortable with your choice to eat so carelessly but please don't push your blame on those of us who have actually walked away from the golden arches.

    You say:
    I've already said:
    If they both wrote peoms about their beliefs, yes, it would be.

    I've said already...I'm a vegetarian too. I wasn't attacking vegitarianism, but vegitarians or vegans who have a "Holier than thou" attitude(the last quote being a beautiful example of this), and try to convert others to vegetarianism ratther than focusing on the other ways they themselves are causing harm.

    Just showing the most "Holier than thou" attitude a little clearer.

    Kether-
    Wow, you actually kind of are sounding like an asshole. There are better ways to do everything...all I was trying to advocate was if your gonna eat meat, maybe try buying meat that comes from a family farm. Let the "little guys" keep their jobs, and stop shitting on them! It's a poem that I wrote and wanted to share-that's what writers do, they write about things that concern them, or intrigue them. I'm just writing, man. I think it's a little bogus that your trying to make me sound like a bad person here. Christ! And I'm not an ignorant fuck, FYI. It just so happens I do think about all of the things that, according to you, I should be writing about!

    When has she ever said she was better than anyone? When has she ever tried to convince anyone of anything? She was just writing a poem about how she belives animals feel that are predomanantly used for food. If you ask me, you are the one who sounds like a Nazi here. That was seriously wrong of you.

    I heard someone compare meat-eaters to nazis, because they kill and they use popular culture to spread they're message through propaganda. I thought the comparison was offensive, not to me because I'ma Vegetarian, but to meat-eaters. So than I come over here, and find this jerk comparing Vegetarians to Nazis which in addition to being even more offensive has absolutely no reason for saying this. Yes, Kether, I read you're fucked up little explenation thier, it doesn't make any sense

    On a lighter note, The Poem was great, probobly one of the best vegetarian/vegan poems I've heard. Sad, though

    Yeah god. I agree with vegout and brainstew...she wasn't trying to start shit...so why would you (especially as a vegetarian) come in and throw out some crazy comparison? Just don't get it. But is that really true natural philosophy? Would be a great complement to the poet if so.

    Well said, the imagery is teeming with feelings;
    indeed, the ending is powerful.
    In these slaughterhouses of quantity,
    compassion is sacrificed for speed.

    Thank you for sharing your poetic perceptions with us.

    Hmmm..maybe I came on a bit strong, and "preachy" myself(ironic, considering the point I was trying to make make[IMG]). Man, I just used Nazi's and what-not as they'd be preaching too, and I knew they'd be something you'd all disagree with. I didn't think you'd all get so hung up on the comparision. You missed my point and focused entirely on the example. Oh well. Love all the vegans that came in at the end to back her up...[IMG]

    Now that you're not being hypocritical, I guess I see you're point as far as If I were a meat-eater I'd be mad, but It's still a great poem, and I don't think she was pushing beleifs on anyone just showing her beleifs
