There could be life on Jupiter's moon Europa. They believe under the layer of ice on its surface is an ocean.
I honestly dont know. I dont think its hogwash but I dont quite believe. I dont think there was life such as human beings for the most it could be any living cells. either way we are never going to stop searching for them.
there has to be other life forms.. i recon the universe must be infinite (spread out forever) so therefore there is an infinit number of planets out there.. and an infinite chance that there could be other life forms.. man thats so freaky, jus imagining a lil dude in another galaxy.. chilling.. maybe on his own lil version of hipforums..
ive seen 3 UFO's, all 3 during the day, the first was when i was a kid (i dont remember the exact age) but i was in my backyard with my godparents and my parents and it was getting dark and we were lighting a fire to roast marshmallows on, and i looked up and there was a silver ball going reallllly fast and it left a blue trail behind it, but the trail dissapeard very fast, not like contrails from jets, the second i dont remember at all where or when it was, but i know it wasnt too long after the first time, it was an orange-ish...cigar.. that just sat hovering in the sky for a while then started to accelerate very slowly, then just took off extremely fast, and the third wasnt too long ago, actually, maybe about a month and a half ago, i was looking out my window and over the mountains behind my house i saw a orb hovering above them, so i ran outside and looked up at it and it looked like it was getting bigger, like it was changing its shape, then some smaller red orbs came out (3 to be exact) from the top and shot straight up into the sky so fast i could barely see em, then it sat there for about 5 minutes and either dissapeard or flew away so fast i couldnt see it take off, it seemd like i was only outside for about 10-15 minutes but when i got back inside i saw that over an hour had passed by...,none of the UFO's i saw i can explain as being anything man made, except the first one i saw couldve been a comet because they leave a blue looking trail but i dont think they are then metallic looking
yes. i made a thread a few months back, one with a god poll, next with an alien poll. im surprised how many people still believe the shit people beleived in the dark ages.
common sense is just another word for popular prejudice. the odds of having another earth like planet are pretty low (liquid water, stable (not burning) 02 atmosphere), like we've only found a small amount so far. the odds that life would form on those planets is also low the odds that that life survives to the point that it could master technology is low. the odds that these aliens would exist on the same time scale that we do (the human race has existed for only 2 mil years, and of that we've been in space for 50, compared to the billions of years we believe the universe to have existed, we're just a blip on the radar). the odds that these aliens would conquer light speed is low. the odds that they would look like us (walk upright, with a head and body and four limbs, two eyes, and about our same size) is so infitesimely small that it's laughable. and the odds that these infinitely improbable creatures would travel galaxies to turn our cows inside out or shove things up our butts is next to nil. soooo.... although there is a definite chance that life could exist in some form or another in the universe, the odds of it happening close enough to us in space and time for interaction is low. and the odds of them existing like they are portrayed in the media (little green men) is about the odds of the Flying Spaghetti Monster creating the universe... it's also kinda funny how people will knock religion but believe in aliens. you're both making the same logical suspensions for the same reasons...
