I consider this man to be a pioneer of the lofi era. his records continue to be gems of unheard material. usually just a t-shirt remains my all time favorite you will never hear anything quite like that ever in your lifetime. He is the lead guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He also auditions for frank zappa, and he almost joined thelanious monster. he was on rolling stone as #14 on the top 100 guitarists of all time. He is a pioneer in the indie/electronica era.

His colaborations with Josh Hoffklinger, Perry, Omar Rodriguez Lopez, River Phoenix, and of course Flea remain to be some of his best work ever. They encouraged him to expand the voyage on music out there.

Thank you John Frusciante for your incredible insights on music and evolving styles. Your guitarmanship is supurb and match the great jimmys jimi hendrix, and jimmy page.

Whats ya'll favorite john frusciante cd, and songs.

    mine

I just LOVE the song The past recedes, from the album Curtains. That's also his only song I really know.

His solo albums are amazing, and the Chili Peppers' two best albums were made with him in the band.

Nianda LaDes is such a great album.

My fave JohnF songs gotta be Mascara, Running Away into You, & last but not least Ten To Butter Blood VooDoo
but straight up, that whole album is insane.

not much of a fan of anything else he did other than Niandra & Usually...

I am such a huge JF fan. "The Will to Death" is an astoundingly good lo-fi album, with lovely production values. It sounds like it was recorded in a living room, very organic, very real. Tis a shame RHCP is every 15-25 yr old wankers favorite band (sorry, that slipped!)..:leaving:

john frusciante is the only reason why I can actually stand the chili peppers. when he wasnt with them, the band pretty much sucked.... I think he adds a certain rock element to their sound....

JF is awesome. The DC EP rocks! Do you guys like his side project, Ataxia? They released another album not too long ago (of old recordings)
