Ive always wondered about everything. By this i mean i observe everything i see, even the smallest things. These Johova Witnesses keep comming to my house and asking me about wether i believe in God and religion as a whole, i have a mixed answer, yes i would like to think there is more to this world than what we have and no, because it just seems too "fairy tale" (sorry if this offends anyone)

The idea of God just stumps me. I dont know how something so "magical" is possible is such a normal world.

They were also talking to me about how God is not in control at the moment, Satan is, but she also said that Gods day is nearly here, because there are not alot of prophecies left in the bible. She couldent give me an exact date but do you think this is really possible? Some miracle that will heal the world? Everyone will suddenly love each other and love them selves?

I just want to know what you all think about this. Has anything happend to you to make you feel that God does exist (i dont mean being brought up in a religious family, i want to know if you have witnessed any "miracles")
I also want to know if you think that the world will dramatically change soon by God, or do you think that this is a complete waste of time.

For a Christian (as Jehova's are) to say that God is not in control is ridiculous and against the fundamentals of their doctrine. They are just trying to manipulate you to make you join up. They are sad.

For me, it always comes down to this. Whether you believe in God depends on what you think God is. Believing in something that you have no evidence for is stupid. I believe in computers because I'm using one now. I believe in God because I am God. Everything that exists is God, because God is everything that exists. Look at the classic attributes ascribed to God: Infinite, Eternal. That means God is that which is everywhere and always. All it means is that the universe is God. People can't understand this and misunderstand the metaphorical teachings meant to describe God, so they form religions which only serve to perpetuate the misunderstandings of what 'God' really represents and divide people against each other, when really, we are all one in God.

As for 'miracles'. I believe that many people don't understand that God is nature itself and every normal thing in nature is an act of God. Because it is often thought that God must be something outside of nature and something separated from us, unnatural events or 'miracles' are to be expected as an act of God. They don't happen, but there are many other reasons why the idea of miracles has become popular. 1. Metaphorical stories are taken literally, again, by stupid religious people. eg. Jesus turning water to wine etc. 2. Misunderstanding of natural phenomena. 3. Device employed by evil shits like the Jehova's witnesses to gullible and impressionable people to manipulate them. You don't need to look for unnatural events as a sign from God. If you think that everything that exists is of God, everything that exists is a 'miracle', including ourselves
