I love my job! All summer I get to be in the woods, teaching, leading, and basically having fun with girl scouts ages 7- 13. I get to teach them how to canoe, kayak, rope-climb, make fires, tie knots, everything! I love being outdoors 24/7 for six weeks out of the summer. I love communing with our mother and being able to teach little girls how to respect her, as well. The Girl Scouts are very earth-minded and do many great things in the lives of these girls. I love, love, love it! Do you have a really cool job?
my job rocks. I get to learn at my employer's expense, meet lots of people that I would not normally do so, and as a perk, I get to write entertainment articles as well as general beat coverage of the community. add the camera work and well, if it paid, decently, it'd be perfect.
yes! i love my job. its cute, I get to have tea parties all day and people never look at me like I'm crazy (only cuz their crazier) hah and I get to be part of the embroidery club. Its a nursing home. Their adorable.
I don't even have a job. I was hoping to get one this summer, but I won't be sixteen until late July, and I'll also be gone for two weeks in late July. I could get a lame job now as a fifteen-year-old, or I could wait until August to get a better job. I'll probably just wait until August, but it'd certainly be nice to have one now. That's great that you have a job that you like, by the way. I used to do a lot with the Girl Scouts. I'm still a registered Girl Scout, but I don't do too much anymore...
I don't have a job at the moment I have worked with girl scouts and kids in the past. I hope to find something similar or work at a local commnity theater After college I wanna start my own alternative school with a performing art slant intented for kids with special needs and do music thearpy with austic childeren.
Job at the moment, best way to describe it is "meh". Not dire - I get on well with my colleagues, the pay's a bit shitty but then the work isn't that arduous. it's a placeholder for when i can do what I really want to do (alternative health work).
actually, i just started a new job last week, for a few months. i think i may do it until august or so and then see where i'm taken from there. i'm liking it more and more each day ...i'm going to be a coordinator for my hometown's boys and girls club; they have a day-camp program for a community of what they call "socially underpriveledged" children and youth. i love working with kids and this is where my camp experience comes in. some people have referred to this group as the "kids that the city doesn't want" but i love giving them extra attention and defying that - they ARE wanted. i love doing this kind of work!
I monitor a production network. One of the largest in the world. As an analyst there is usually plenty of time for ping-pong, foosball, RC cars, etc. every now and again something will break, but pretty much I just chill. 3 day work week too.
Aww sweetie I feel your pain. I was in that situation not long ago and it wasn't fun. Much love and peace energy to you
i am a writer, and while i'm waiting for my book to be published, i just started working in a natural foods store, as the buyer for their books, cards and magazines. its a great job, actually. i get to deal with open-minded people, and educate them (and myself) on proper nutrition, wellness and environmental issues. lots of hippie co-workers, too.
i used to have a way cool job i worked at a Pizza Hut, i pretty much got paid to smoke up and eat pizza, but the pay and hours were shit
Most Gracias. I may be transferring stores and today I have to go to a meeting with the manager of the store I may be going to. It's some bullshit because the store I work in is being shut down and they are opening a new one. There are perks to going to the new store but there is also a lot of shit with it as well. Having to drive further with gas as much as it is, is probibly the worst. So, now I'm stuck in a bind of do I want to go to the new store (which will be an excellent place to work but further to drive?!) or just transfer to a differnet just as old store (which will suck to work at but will be closer to my house!!) Damn Bush and fucking NAFTA! (What... I can blame it on them! I blame everything else on them.)
I run go-karts at a mini golf place. It's alright for workin out in the sun all day. Shitty pay for how much I do around there, though.
I love my summer job if that counts, I'm going to work at the renaissance festival, I worked there last year also, its awesome!! People are generally nice and where else can you stand outside yelling at people to buy stuff all day? lol I get to wear a pretty dress and theres lots of awesome stuff nearby-jewelry, food, accessories, henna tatooing. Its great. I don't know if i will ever like another job more. plus the pretty music is always playing and theres actors everywhere its just amazing.
