How in control of your life are you? Do we not care that all the instincts that we have accumilated over millions of years is being stripped from our genes? Take away your house. Could you keep warm in the jungle like we did in the past? Could you find drinkable water as plentiful as tap? Take away the grocery store. Could you hunt your own food? Could you eat the raw flesh if you had too? Would you starve? Take away your phone. Would you survive an attack from another human if you couldn't call for help? More and more infants are being raises on "formula" instead of mothers milk. Alot of mothers don't even lactate anymore much less get fertile. What makes a human different from an animal? No freedom? Is a human just a self imprisoning animal? How wild are you? Who still has the beast in them? Someone has you by the balls and you didn't even know. What if they get scared? What if they flip the switch and turn all this off? Would you survive?
Society has been conditioned to rely on the system for all its needs. That's why during a crisis situation, the people have always turned to government for help. People have been domesticated and have been whittled down to nothing more than degenerate, apathetic beings who care about little more than self-gratification and fulfilling their wants. This is all by design. When I Woke Up! When I finally woke up I took a look around. I saw city halls, courthouses, houses of government, churches, schools, and universities by the hundreds and thousands. I saw systems... systems for managing the land, the air, and the water; systems for managing human behavior; systems for managing religion; systems for managing learning; systems for managing food, shelter, clothing; systems for managing love and procreation: a vast complex of carefully engineered systems. I saw millions of people working, not for themselves, but for someone else. I saw millions of people doing, not what they themselves want to do, but what someone else wants them to do. I saw the depressing evidence of a people who have externalized and institutionalized-in fact, have tried to standardize-the very nature of humanity. I saw a whole people who've lost the way of life and in its place have built a technological monster which does most of their hard work, carries their water, delivers their food, raises their kids, makes their decisions, says their prayers, transports them, informs them, entertains them, and controls the people it serves, absolutely. I also saw that the monster, seemingly unable to manage itself, was running wild, totally out of visible control, ripping the land to pieces, spreading poisons, filling the air with filth, dumping garbage and shit in the rivers and lakes and oceans. I saw all that, and I saw the people, millions of them, crowded together in cities, living side by side in towns, villages, rural areas. But I didnt see a single community. Is someone doing all of this on purpose? Yes!
The survival skills of the aboriginal people all over the world are well documented. from the Bushmen of the Kalahari, to the indigenous people of the Chaco and Yungas rainforests, the human race will go on, we will survive. While it will be more difficult for those of us who have fully committed ourselves to modern technology and future it holds - we will adjust and adapt because we to wish to survive. Hotwater
Even the most ("modernized"-for lack of a better word) could survive without material things. When we HAVE no other choice but to survive our minds and bodies usually adapt. Humans even in this modern world still carry our primitive instincts to wanna keep living.
It goes beyond could you find your own food and water. That would be easy for most. Question is. Could you kill a man? No police. No military. No weapons. Another man tries to steal a fresh kill that would feed your family. You ready for battle? Is this what societies concept WAS? No fear. Harmony. If so what the fuck happened? I used to laugh at these "survivalist" building bunkers in their back yard and stock piling arms, but I'm beginning to not think it's so funny.
I would choose sharing as well. The thing is that human beings are not conformists. Things would be different if everybody tried to help everybody, not to be better or have more.
