I was exploring foreign films a while back, and I like movies from India more than any. I have seen several Bollywood movies, and this has to be the best one. I know a movie is good, if I don't even notice the subtitles, or care if I have to read them. The story line was so superb, and the camera work was awesome, and the songs and dancing were just so powerfull, and pertintent. The writer of Lagaan has other very good movies too. I can only rememaber Swades, and it is also worth a watch.

yes Swades is very good too. One of the few Indian movies I actually like. Along with Lagaan. Lagaan is one of the few movies where the song-and-dance routine actually made sense. Hate the other Bollywood movies with their senseless craptastic songs and no plot or plagiarised plots.

Another good Indian movie is called "Satya", by far the best gangster movie the Indian Industry has made.
