feigning attention deficit disorder or soemthin...addies are lame IMO unless you want them to study. Go get coke if you really wanna get up.
It really depends on who it is that wants it. Your best shot is to claim ADD/ADHD. Most doctors will want proof of this, which means going to a diagnostic psychologist. So one might wish to skip the first visit to their primary doc. and call and ask for someone who does ADD/ADHD screenings. This is not something I recommend even if you have ADD/ADHD until you have a doctor that you feel completely comfortable being totally honest with and who has a good reputation for treating ADD/ADHD.
ADD and its also given alot to people who have problums with energy or being tired all the time. Alot of stimulants are given to people from Doctors for energy.
Well generally they aren't going to stick you on amphetamines if you're tired all the time. They'll probably try other stuff first. Because after they wear off you feel even worse then you did before. Harsh drugs they are. I had a history of Ritalin use... a LONG history. So getting it for me was a snap. I asked him about it and he threw a prescription at me after doing a physical. It's the XR version, but I pop two 20mg pills and I'm in fucking heaven all day. Not to mention flying through my school work. It's a great feeling. Very euphoric and uplifting. I've been pushing for the IR version, so hopefully I can get my hands on that next. The XR version lasts too long IMO. Even when I take 1. Really what you need to do is claim something like you need something to help you concentrate better because you see your work performance slipping or your grades declining. Some doctors won't send you to a diagnostics guy if you seem trusting and don't exhibit drug-seeking behavior. Some doctors always will though. It's down to playing it off as best you can. It's a schedule II substance, but doctors don't seem to be very hard about prescribing it. Talk your mom into it (or parent, whatever) and bring her along with you. It always looks better if the parent is there, especially if you're young. Another thing. If you do manage getting it, the doc will probably prescribe the XR version. Don't try and get it changed right there, because that's really obvious. Just use it or wait a month and tell him it's not working or lasts too long or something and that you'd like a non time-release version.
look up attention deficit disorder, memorize the symptoms, think up interesting ways of describing how you experience those symptoms, frustration and impatience are key in the diagnosis. Can't focus on things very long, can't read for more than a short time without realizing you're starting to notice you read a page and don't remember anything it said. I actually found that I really kinda do like just taking a normal adderall prescription... hell I took 30mg of time release, in two doses, and spent two days reading a 900 page organic chemistry text and abriding it into notes... I'm a lazy genius, this stuff is a godsend, truly. In fact I find it's hard to abuse it, because I don't want to NOT have it for a day because I took two the previous day...
The thing with the long-duration, time-release--what have you, is that they are more apt to cause dependency--in most everyone. Whereas the regular release are more apt to cause addiction--but only in certain individuals. Medical people forget that it is more natural to have some peaks and valleys for various biomolecules such as NTs, hormones, or synthetic mimetics. But that is just conjecture on my part... My expereience was that Adderal XR did the job for about 6-8 hrs but then zombified me and kept me from sleeping, despite feeling totally exhausted. So what to do?? chase the dragon? Add Caffeine the next day when I was dog tired? clearly that was a poor solution. So I played around with taking 10mg to 20mg of the XR with 10-20 mg of the IR mg and then a few hours later another 10-20 mg of the IR. But I found it easier and cheaper to just stick to the IR 40 mg in the morning and another 20mg if I felt I really needed it in the early afternoon. something like 3/4 of the recreational feeling wears off after being on it a few days straight, and then i'd start to feel shitty...doc added 1/2 mg of clonazepam and now i feel normal again. Anyway my advice is to try and get the IR version, just say that the XR is lasting too long, interfering with sleep. Also try taking it every other day or two days on one day off, perhaps using caffeine and tyrosine on the off days...the idea is that then you will only experience the beneficial and enjoyable effects of the drug--but it takes discipline and most docs would be like wtf just take it everyday. good luck.
i went to the doctor about a couple months ago with the sole intention of gettin some ritalin. i had a hang over and im sure i seemed kinda sketchy and weird. thus i was in no luck, he said id have to see a psychologist or somthing. which for me is in the city, and havent been screwed goin in for. though i really wish i would. i told him i used to have a.d.d and had talked to my mum and we agreed id try it again since i was starting uni. but he was tuff. i get round to goin to the other guy one day.
Fuckin A I really think I have A.D.H.D but I don't know how to go in not looking liek a drug seaker... :x
Just get evaluated, if you really do have concentration problems you shouldn't have to worry about getting it.
