The End Is Nigh!!

Oh, wait...no it isn't.

People have been raving about the end of the world for centuries...millenia. Face it people, it's not going to happen. Back in 1000AD people thought Jesus would return, built all these churches, some people prayed repented and some partied hard. Anticipation grew and grew. Then, New Year's Day came and went, and nothing happened. Every year someone is out there with their cult following claiming the world will end soon. Either that the messiah is going to come soon, or we're going to blow ourselves up, or this or that.

But it never does. Those cults always break up, unless the cult leader, who had such reliable information, is clever and can shift the date a few years ahead, claiming last minute revelation or something. It happens all the time.

Besides, why is everyone so obcessed with the world ending anyways? Is everyone so lazy and apathetic that they believe changing the world is too hard and it would take an apocalypse to do it? Get off your lazy ass and joing a peace march or something. Get off your knees, stop praying for the Rapture, and DO SOMETHING.

 

I have some terrible news for some of you. Jesus isn't coming back.

Thats not what the Bible says. The people in the past did not underestand the prophecies of the Bible. Your one of the prophecies though: One Christ comes back most people will not believe. That's why it is gonna be a shock when he does come.

The sun probably will, in 5 billion years or so...or at least boil the oceans and atmosphere away when it turns into a red giant. Maybe god is the sun...lol

-Most Christian scientist believe that the earth is younger than most secular scientist believe. But God is not going to destroy the earth. This is what is going to happen:

Russia and its allies are going to try to attack Israel but God has a pact with the Jews that they will never be kicked out of Israel again. So God is going to send a HUGE earthquake that will shake the whole earth, it will level mountains, it will destroy America and destroy 5/6 of the Russian Army. In reflex and as America is weekened, Russia will attack America with nuclear weapons and finish off the U.S. However, right before the bombs hit God will rescue his people and save them from the hour it takes to destroy America.
In a twinkle of an eye TRUE Christians will be taken off the planet (Raptured).

Then starts the 7 year tribulation of the Antichrist. He will control the whole world. He will deciece many claiming he is God and will force everyone to get the an imbedded chip in which people will not be able to buy or sell without it. After the 7 years, the Battle of Armeggon takes place where God fights the devil and God sends the devil back to hell. Then there is heaven on earth for a 1000 years for those who accepted him. God does not destroy the earth but makes it better

Yeah, with some creative interpretation (creative meaning excessive), you can translate Babylon, a middle eastern city-state empire several millenia ago, to mean America, and some middle eastern tribes to mean Russia. But you'd he going to far. Believe what you want, but I'd bet good money that the world will not end in our lifetimes, nor in our 12th generation of descendents lives.

 

Hate to break it to you, but Jesus is going to come back, regardless of whether you want Him to or not...or whether you believe it or not. Can't do anything about it. It's up to you and only you where you want to spend eternity. Also, attacking other people's beliefs isn't making you look good, so just let people believe what they want, OK?

I do have a life, but since life is only a mist compared to eternity I tend to spend much time finding the truth and telling others who have found it(wich is most of the world and most of the people on this forum).

And I have news for you we are not immortal. And getting drunk is not the way to eternal life. Jesus loves you and has a plan for you.... if you are willing to accept it.

So please I would love to hear your response to the two posts I put up.

 

America is the grandmother of nations today. We have the oldest continuous government in the world, excluding tiny island nations.

At any given time, there's always going to be a most powerful nation in the world. Why does this necessarily mean 21st century America? Why couldn't it mean 300 AD Rome, or 1700 England, or 1940 Germany, or 2100 China?

Most nations describe themselves in feminine terms, not just America.

I did reply to your post in the most relevant way. The "proofs" mean nothing to me, so I ignored them. You can apply all those things to ancient Babylonia and it works a lot better anyways.

You're right, getting drunk isn't the way to eternal life. There is no such thing as eternal life...you said in the sentence before that that we aren't immortal, with that I agree. It's obvious. Getting drunk was one suggestion among a few I gave (I could have given more), as a way for you to relax, stop worrying about the future so much, and just live life. If you believe in God, you must believe he gave us life not so we could spend our short time thinking about it's end, but to let us enjoy it. Find the meaning here, in the life he gave us, not somewhere else. If he wanted us to find it elsewhere, he'd have put us elsewhere. I say put down the Book and go out, teach by example, through glorious living, not by ranting about end times and scriptures. That is all I have to say on this.

so we'll be furrys riding arround in battery powered trains
and bussess and living in solar powered homes and there
will be fewer of us, eventualy. though for now it is our
continual INCREASE in numbers that is our biggest threat
