ok so a friend of a friend has about 30 plants scattered in a woods far from his house but sorta near a nieghborhood. the plants are under light tree cover and are random in placement they are far apart. how good are the infared dea search helicopters at finding plants spaced far apart (like groups of 10, spread apart 10 feet then another group 500 feet away). and if the cops do find the weed do they just take it or do they set up cameras and shit. please respond and tell me!
The heat detecting cameras don't "see" marijuana plants, they "see" heat produced by grow lights that may create hot spots in buildings. If you're worried that these cameras can tell the difference between cannibis and oak, don't be. They can spot people though, so be careful. They usually just take it. But you should always be aware of any uninvited activity in your area. Read Rangerdanger's thread on guerilla growing, he really goes into this.
okay, if this friend of a friend is worried about someone finding his plants then, no offense intended, but why do you know about it. If i was worried about someone finding my grow i sure wouldn't be telling evryone and their brother.
