I've got this program called powerDVD. It came free with my pc and it's what I use to watch dvds (obviously). It lets you change region five times and then it locks on the last region you use. Is there any way (without spending loads of money) to make it region free?? Thanks for any help... Dominic
Just download a free DVD player off www.downloads.com , much easier. (unless you want to download pirated software off P2P)
Most DVD drives are multi-region, but will allow you to change regions a few times. Some drives can stay multiregion if you update it´s FIRMWARE. You will have to know the make and model of the DVD Drive to find the right firmware. It´s not hard to do, but it´s really easy to permanently mess up your hardware, so be very careful if you decide to do it.
