A MUST read for any stoner!

Okay, I've been waiting to make a post about this for a REALLY long time, and it looks like I finally found the time to do it...
Well, there are SO so sooo many stoners in our school. If I had to give an approximation, I'd say at least 300 of the 2000 students in our school are regular tokers...
So, where do all these people go?
To Lake Harbor Park!
It is a very awesome, HUGE park on Lake Michigan, and there are dirt trails in the dunes everywhere that lead to the lake. The stoners are the only people who walk the dirt trails ("regular" people walk on the pavement on the ground) But the dirt trails are AWESOME! They go up and down the dunes, and we've made several super awesome fire pits and smoking spots.

Stoners are there every day, so even if you have no weed, all you have to do is show up and you're sure to get high! Even better, everyone knows everyone else, and if they don't then they don't care, so we walk around in the dunes and toke and meet up with other groups and toke some more!

One downside to this is that the cops TOTALLY know about it, but they don't even care so it really doesn't matter. The school also knows about it, but they don't care much either.
I LOVE IT!
Its like a huge pot party every day there. Usually when I go, I take my dog with me and we get him high. Everyone loves him and he just sits in the middle of our circle while we toke, then he follows us through the dunes to the next spot!
Another great thing about it is that you get SOOO much exercise! It got me in really good shape after only a week.
Walking through the dunes while high is great, everything looks amazing, but another down side to it is that if you accidently take the wrong trail, 5 minutes later you're usually like "where the fuck am I?" LOL, good thing I've got most of the trails memorized.

Anyway, just thought I'd share that because I am sooo happy to have a spot like that in my city!

I was wondering if anyone else had a spot like that where they live?

I'm going to go take pictures of the dunes and trails soon, and then I'll post them, but right now here are two pictures of a spot in the middle of the woods (REALLY hard to find..usually get lost looking for it!) that some of us made! It is really cool, it is a fort type thing with a fire pit in it and log seating all the way around! It is bigger than it looks in the pictures too, it seats like 30 people!

As beautiful as this sounds, it doesn't seem too safe. That structure doesn't seem to sound. It looks like it could fall any moment. Stoner haven or not, the government could deem it unfit for people to stay and bulldoze it down. That happened it a shelter like that in nearby woods where I love. Also, one day that wood will be dry, and that firepit you have will get really big. About the size of that entire shelter, if you catch my drift.

Though it is wonderful that a haven such as that exists. I'm too old for that stuff. I live in a Univeristy town where I've yet to find any woods worthy of escaping to. Plus, I'm at the age where my friends and I have our own places, so our haven is also our homes. I miss going out on walks to get high like that. My friends, once we've all gotten our own places, have gotten to lazy for that stuff.

I remember when I first moved into rez, we would always walk SO FAR to get high. If one did a timeline, they'd see that the distance we walked to get high shrank as first year progressed. To the point where we had condoms over the smoke detectors and towels under the door. Whenever I asked if we could go on a blaze hike, I'd get these looks on all their faces like "Why the fuck would we do that?".

They just don't get it anymore.

We don't have a place like that, but we do go down by the river in my town and smoke there. The people you describe and how everyone smokes there sounds exactly like our place by the river. it's real nice in the summer too cause we get to swim, and theres rocks we can jump off of into the river.

That's awesome that that sort of community exists. Nothing like that is around this area as far as I'm aware of but I've built a few shelters in the woods and they do fall so just be careful. That one looks pretty sound from the pictures though.

I love hiking and smoking, generally anything nature oriented is great, and with weed its 1000x better.

 

Big Spring Park in downtown Huntsville is exactly as you described yours (people wise at least, not the woods ) There's a spot by a creek where there are always at least 10 people playing hacky sack, guitar, or just passing a joint around and talking. It's an amazing atmosphere and I love going there. That was where I had my first acid trip...a bit chaotic, but it was still beautiful

DJ's not hateful.. it seems he just tends to look down on people, thats all. Who doesnt have bad qualities about themselves? I sure as hell know i do, so why does everyone need to comment on what DJ does, rather then what they do? Seems like drama has been revolving tyler in these forums for the past week or so.

Thats in muskegon right? I wish saginaw (hood as fuck) was like that because it sounds awsome to have a place like that to chill.

 

I wish we had a spot like that here, but we don't.
My school's FULL of stoners... At least 75% of the people in my grade regularly or semi-regularly get high, and about 50% of the people in the rest of the grades (individually, I mean) regularly or semi-regularly get high.

People here just do it in each other's houses.

 

actually..come to think of it my highschool used to have somthing very similar

everyone used to call it the "420 lounge"

it was like behind the fields at school, and had a tonne of stolen chairs from the school along with a couple big folding tables from the caffeteria, was kinda chill

I'm currently living in halls of residence at uni and I totally know what you mean.

If the weather's good, I usually like to go outside to get stoned; there are more interesting things to look at and 'explore' that way. We used to go around the campus to get stoned at the beginning of the year; but, due to laziness, nobody bothers; instead we do what you do and sit in a room, covering the bottom of the door with a towel... Heheh.
