The praxis version is better. It has lilly haiden from pfunk fuckin destroying the song on a violin thats been pushed thru a wah. Its fuckin sick.
Now that you mention John McLaughlin, Paco de Lucia and Al Di Meola, there's this gem of an album called "Friday Night in San Francisco", where the three of them jam for about 40 minutes. Now, this isn't rock and it isn't electric, but these 3 guys playing together in full blast make any other guitarrist in the world sound like a cripple. Each one of them on his own is awesome, but the three of them together is almost too much. There's nobody I've ever heard that's even close to them in skill, technique and speed.
its not really reguarded as a great solo, but I love the little solo in My Sympathy to the Devil - Rolling Stones, I always feel like its dancing up my spine
i love the stevie ray vaughn solo for couldnt stand the weather Scarlet Mountain- the dead 1983 Hartford Civic Center but machine gun- hendrix is so good or i cant quit you babe- from coda
Peter Green guitar built some incredible guitar part Fleetwood mac...(not the same version of music of the rumours era) -"I'm comin your way" from the LP Then play on this song had a crazy little solo in the end -"A Nifty little number like you" from Humble Pie 1st album (as safe as yesterday his) from 1969 too ...this song is fuckin'powerfull it's a good alternative to Led Zepellin.... I've got hundred songs in mind but you know...it's a question of time ...always...... we live in a planet made of time ...all this society is built around that...if the time disapear for sure this world will turn differently... bye
I think the 3 solos in THE END by Beatles off Abbey Road...Paul , George, and John all took part in one massive solo...also done well on Paul McCartney Back iun the US. The great thing is it also features Ringo's only released drum solo for the Beatles..
i think that is a great solo! another great is the guitar solo on "hangin' on" by The Westminster Abbey, it's so f in rad, it's very very rad. www.thewestminsterabbey.com www.purevolume.com/thewestminsterabbey
i forget the name of the guitarist for skynyrd, but on freebird!!! i dont think it was allen collins or gary rossington, maybe im wrong. its hard to deny stairway too!! but i think that is quite obvious!
i almost forgot eruption....Van Halen....Eddie Van Halen is way underrated i think just because he is aprt of a hair band!
that is disturbing..... the guitarist from the band PINK FLOYD is david gilmour and was syd barrett... turrible led from led zeppelin is so hott....
oh wow I thought I was the only person who loved that song, only I wasn't going to admit to it Sad, but true. I love it.
Jimi Hendrix's Land Of The New Rising Sun/Hey Baby from the Free Concert(31th August 1970 at Stockholm) is the best guitar solo
Woa... the mind-blowing solo in "one" by metallica... A solo by morbid angel... perhaps "where the slime live" There may be better but... there you have my opinion
grateful dead scarlet mountain from the civic center in 83' is really good its really far out its really different from what jerry usually plays its faster....
