You know why stoners are viewed badly by the rest of the world?

Now do you really think that ANY parent would read something like that and NOT think that your just a stupid kid with a shitty attitude becasue you smoke weed (im not saying thats why, but parents blame everything on drugs). Shit like that is what tends to make parents think weed is so awful for you. Why don't you actually defend what you say and not act like such a deushe. Id have to agree with digitalldj. Think about it, almost all antidrug propoganda is focused on kids in one way or another. There are tons of stories on the news about kids who get high and do stupid shit and then act like arrogant fucks about it. Im not saying that every teenager is like this, but there are far to many who are.

 

I know from experience, and when you start skipping school and hanging with the wrong people too much, the next step is getting busted or just failing out of school.

my main point in this thread is, what the original poster said is stating the obvious: some people abuse the drug and make a bad image for all of us. but the conclusion:
you cant change that!
and coming on here and lecturing everyone like he's some enlightened person isnt going to do anything!
i find it even mroe interesting that digitaldj tried suggesting that i was one of the stoners that slipped into his category, when ive always gotten striaght A's in school, won a scholarship from the US Congress to come live in Gemrany for a year for free...I think im enjoying my life just fine right now digitaldj, thanks for caring tho.

Hahaha, too bad I still go to school, only skipped ONCE to go toke, am going to college in 3 months...
I'm not lazy either, usually when I smoke I'm outside walking through the dunes the rest of the day, around 5 hours a day, at least 2-3 times a week...

Heres a novel idea: smoke pot and THEN study.

I don't understand, maybe pot effects other people in a differently way than it does me, but I get so much more out of reading when stoned. Learning in general really.

I mean, check this out. I was practicing barre chords last night stoned and within seconds learned a more efficient way to shift between chords. I also greatly improved my palm muting. And these are things I have taken with me, not fantasy stoner insights that go away when I'm straight again. Pot has truly accelerated the level at which I learn guitar exponentially. It's almost not even worth practicing without it anymore.

Some people may not benefit from weed but I am astounding by the things I learn every time I smoke. It's like a form of steroid for my creativity.

 

Yes it does, that was his point. He and others are risking jailtime because other people prefer to get high all the time, rather than moderating their usage.

OH MY FUCK, YES IT DOES. You are 16 years old. No matter how you feel about what I'm about to say, in two years you'll probably agree. I spent the first year of university prefering getting high than studying. I now know I could have gotten 80's and 90's instead of 60's and 70's. That was a poor decision. You're saying it has nothing to do with my grades? Then please explain why I lost a potential scholarship and am now another $2000 in the hole in student loans.

You really think NOBODY read this and thought twice about their actions? NOBODY is going to listen to some 16 year old who's probably failing English who is defending the stereotypes that DJ is angry about. Most stereotypes are bullshit, but others have to come from somewhere. DJ never told people how to act. He brought up an opinion of his that is a valid point.

If you want to keep sneaking around with your buddies, get paranoid whenever drug dogs come to school, or have to go to sketchy dealers every once in a while to grab, that's fine. Some of us are sick of it, and those who embrace the stereotype just increase the slope that is our hike to marijuana freedom.

And don't start talking about how you get weed from a trusted dealer. Does he? Do you know where it comes from? Do you know what they sometimes spray on it to make the high better? You're friendly dealer gets it from someone who you will never meet. Someone who just wants cash.

If it was legalized and regulated, we'd know exactly what was in the weed and know it is, as much as pot can be, safe. In the 20's during prohibitoion, speakeasy's were selling bathtub gin. Nobody really knew what exactly made it, or where it came from. some people got sick and others died. Then when it was legalized, it was regulated and made sure to be safely sold to the public.

And to those who know very successful stoners, GREAT! They were people who knew what the word moderation meant. Knowing when it is the time to pick up or put down the spliff. Learn something from them. Graduate high school, know what you want to do with your life, and get there. Whenever you have a break from that, get high if you'd like. Show that pot smoking can be a part of everyday life, not your whole life.

On the contrary (sp?), although a lot of kids make a bad image of stoners, the media has a lot to do with how that image is portrayed on the news, internet, etc. There could be some legitamently educated stoners, who like to wear pot shirts and hang around with their friends (groups). It takes both us and those who portray us to change the image that is 'The Stoner'.

 

Like I care about your life even in the slightest, i wouldnt lower myself to even communicate with somone who smokes a ciggerette like that.

with these last 2 posts, i can say that I dont feel the need to any longer put any educated comments forward, from here on I will just do as the other people in this thread have done and go on an all out offensive attack on individuals
