I hope this topic has not been done. I used the search function a few times and nothing showed up.

With that said, what are your top ten favorite games? While I don't play often, like I use to, I still have ten that I remember quite a bit and like to bring out from time to time.

    So, here they are:

    10. Alundra, PSX: An action game like zelda with challenging puzzles thrown in here and there
    9. Robotrek, snes: robot rpg, haha. very fun
    8. Mario 64, N64
    7. Zelda Ocrina of time, N64: One of the only reasons I wish I had an N64 still
    6. Chrono Trigger, snes: classic rpg
    5. Lunar Silver Star story, PSX: Just like it a lot for some reason
    4. Star Ocean 2, PSX: This one has climbed in my list, an action rpg
    3. Illusion of gaia, snes: another classic action game similar to zelda
    2. Suikoden, PSX: 108 characters and your own castle, pretty sweet
    1. Secret of Mana, snes: Kick ass action zelda eqaue game, but better IMO

honorable mentions: Mega man X, Donkey Kong 1/2, Secret of Evermore, Final Fantasy 7/9

feel free to comment and rate my list and anyone elses. I realize I am pretty old school, but thats just the way I am. They just don't make games like they that (snes/PSX) anymore. Not that I don't like games today, but, just nostalgia in some cases I guess. Gameplay and how fun a game is has always been more important to me.

    In no particular order.....

    Okami
    Animal crossing (DS)
    Diablo: LoD
    Kingdon Hearts
    Kingdom Hearts II
    Final Fantasy VII
    Final Fantasy X
    Final Fantasy VIII
    Loco Roco
Parasite Eve (no body else likes this game! Why not?)
    .....

All are nice, long games to help distract from the fact that I've somehow ended up on a desert island with a computer, PSP, DS, and PS2, and electricity.

i never finished it because i got final fantasy 12 when i was in the middle and kind of forgot about it. i liked the concept but the main character moved so slowly that it made exploring anywhere super tedious

lol, yeah, you learn very quickly in PE to NEVER EVER WALK. Aya even runs slow, but her walking speed is agonizing.

I used to play games much more when I was younger, today I hardly have time for that kind of entertainment. Anyway, there are lot of good games I've played. Here's my list:

    1. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night [PSX]
    2. Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow [GBA]
    3. Xenogears [PSX]
    4. Chrono Cross [PSX]
    5. Suikoden 2 [PSX]
    6. Black Matrix 00 [PSX]
    7. Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain [PSX]
    8. Chrono Trigger [SNES, PSX]
    9. Vandal Hearts [PSX]
    10. Metal Gear Solid [PSX]

I'm into RPG's and fightng games.
You could try Megaman X/Zero serial, it pwns. Oni Zero: Fukkatsu is also a great game. For PC, I recommend: Planescape Torment, Gun, Morrowind, Oblivion...
