it's what I'm sayin'..... why wouldn't you make it up? it's not like everyone in the world comes online and is perfectly honest with everything, seriously. If you just want a reaction, ask for a reaction. I doubt hightly that this is a school project topic. If it is, though, I doubt that your teacher would take this topic any more seriously than Rayan or I or a few others would... And I agree with Samhain - it's a shame that a pic of a baby was manipulated that way too, the kid really doesn't have a say in whether or not his pic can be used in such a way, that in itself is a bit weird.
i had projects like this in high school and college for my social psych class. so yeah schools do projects like this
I find it a meaningless image, seeing as theres nothing evil or devilish about a little baby Thats about it really
well, i guess it would be interesting to talk about why the person who did it felt the need or desire to do such a silly thing. or not.
For the sake of conversation, I suppose. Hey, I'm not saying that it's not a real project. Or I suppose I am, but not what I meant. To clarify: if you want to use a picture as a topic of a sociology project, to be taken more seriously, I would think that a more realistic controversial picture would be better rather than something that's obviously been photoshopped or something. Heck, even a controversial cartoon would be better than something like this, is all I'm saying.
I was under the impression that the student choose a picture themself and spoke about reactions to it, though I could be wrong and to go back to what we where talking about Cerridwen, I do think that the morals of manipulating a photo when someone can't consent to it would be interesting to bring to a class room S
ah, maybe he did pick his own picture, if I missed reading that, then oops. and yes, Samhain, that'd be an interesting topic of conversation either for class discussion or as a written report. nonetheless, my opinion is what it is: if it were me making this project, I would've picked a more realistic (even if it's still controversial) picture to use as a project topic. But that's just me. for whatever my two cents are worth.
he should have got us to pick the photos for him to choose from, then again knowing this place, maybe not! S
my teachers who made me do crap like this were typically teachers i had very little patience for. psuedo-hip garbage.
I once got suspended for telling a teacher to fuck off when she made us do an art project for Spanish class in 11th grade. It was a final grade and 50% of the grade was based on how pretty the cover looks. Bah.
yeah. some teachers are just so full of shit. at least when i was in college i could drop the class and get a different teacher.
