I'm a rather hopeless gardener. And now I live in a tiny flat so it makes things even harder. I'm just wondering if anyone can give me some idea of what plants I could grow indoors - edible plants would be great - herbs, sprouts etc. It would have to be in a pot, and there wouldnt be too much light around. It's just going into winter here too... lol... Any ideas?!

But you don't have light? Not a lot will grow with out light. Perhaps stick to sprouts - but even they need some....

Grow mint. It doesn't need that much light at all; in fact it thrives in it. It also loves soil with poor drainage. But it is incrediably hardy. It will grow just about anywhere. Literally, ANYONE can grow this plant.

You can always add lighting (flourescent bulbs) above trays. Try an herb garden first. Of course if you don't want to have light added maybe you should consider mushrooms.
