I went to the doctors for an exam and she asked if i was active and i said yes and i told her i never used a condom because when i did, it would give me severe pain. she asked if i wanted B.c and i said yes. she gave me a paper about which to choose...pill, shot, etc...i told her i wanted the pill cause i hate shots. i dont know what kind to get cause my grandma is a retired nurse and she knows what is good and bad but i never get to see her, so i came here...anyone know?
How come you didn't talk about that with your doctor? She'd be the best person to advice you and together you could figure out what brand would be the best for you.
well i asked her and she said the shot, nothign about the pill. the only pill i can think of is Yas. heard it was good but i just wanna make sure
I personaly reccomend loestrin fe 20 i have tried several and well the shot makes you gain wait even though the doctors say it dont and if you get something with too much estren the you will mess up your cycles later in life hope this helps
Talk to a doctor who actually cares about your sexual health, like an OB/GYN. Every woman is different, so what pill would be good for you will vary. Figure it out with your doc. The shot isn't a good idea. The bad usually outweighs the good. Get a good doctor and don't just let him/her put you on any pill, get a pill that'll work for you. And don't be having sex without a condom if you're not on BC, fellow Chicago girl.
I want to get on the shot, but I'm low on finances right now - the thing about the shot is that you cant really miss a dose like with the pill so its more of a sure thing. I couldn't really help you chose a brand though because they're all the same to me at least they all seem to have the same efficiancy and do the same thing
the injection (depo provera) can also really mess some women up. if yorue sensitive to hormones it is not the bc for you. i only gained weight on it, bu tmany women bleed the entire time, have mega-pms the whole time, etc im currently on alesse, i really like it, never had any issues with it. ive been on tri cyclen but as it is a triphasic pill (different size dose every week) it can make some women more susceptible to yeast infections - like me no issues like that with alesse thus far, and ive been on it for over a year
