ok, so my dreads are 1 month old today (happy birthday! ) and I've only washed them about 3 times since starting them. should I wash them today or not? If yes, should I just wash them with water or shampoo them as well?
Washing them in water wont really do much to get any of the grease off!! You need a shampoo which will get all the residue out at the same time
