What's everyone's opinion on the in flight service of different airlines? Which is the best service?

I had only flown on European and North American airlines until recently, when I flew on Emirates to New Zealand. I find their service so much better than what I had experienced before, from the staff to the in flight entertainment, to the meals, which vary on each flight.

    What other airlines are good?

I've flown with quite a few airlines.
The worst I've flown with is definately United Airlines. They were awful, their planes were awful, the in-flight entertainment a misery and the food was barely edible. I recommend that you NEVER fly with them.

My favourite airline for quality, service and pleasure has to be Virgin. I flew from London Heathrow to Narita in Japan (12 hour flight) several times back in 2005 and insisted on flying with them everytime. They have an extensive selection of music/film/tv programmes/games etc for the in-flight entertainment. A 4-choice menu for the main meal, good snacks and the service from the attendants is exceptional.
I recommend them to anyone who is going away, especially if they're flying long haul!

I've flown with continental probably more than 50 times... and I have never been disappointed (until they put the 5$ booze rule, I would say :p)... but they have great service, decent food, GREAT in-flight entertainment system on their 757s and up, and are big enough of a company to have good terminals and flights to anywhere.

Plus, the frequent flyer program is great... I think I have enough miles to fly to Australia from Orlando by now.

I've heard good things about both of those airlines, mainly through word-of-mouth, which is always a powerful tool!

I went to a talk last night and we have maybe 8 years to stop global warming or we are venus , as it is we are going to get a dustbowl out of most of america and the sahara in europe no coral reefs and extinction of lots of species because of the warming thats already happened and hasnt filtered through .

above a 2 degree rise you get things out of human control and it spirals up to a six degree rise this is pretty much mass extinction .

think about that while you people fly

I would rather think about how pretty the pictures in the in-flight magazine look!

I like Singapore Airlines the most, 80 on demand movies and loads of music and some games aswell, also they have a great snack menu and it's the only airline I can eat the food on.

Mexicana Air. The one time I traveled on their airline, they were awsome.

Air France. Well on second thought, any airline has proven to me to be better than RyanAir. :stunned:
