did i say anything about hating starbucks? i don't think my comment was "spreading hatred" at all. i just said i didn't support them. not supporting something doesn't mean hating it.. at all, really. and shit even if that is just a false rumor i don't support them because their coffee is way overpriced and it sucks...
I don't support the war. I do support the troops. I have a friend over there. And another friend died in 2006 from the war. It's been going on for five years now. Since March 2002. Why the hell isn't the world in world-wide protest like it was back in the 60s with Vietnam. It's pretty much the same thing, if you really think about it. I don't support Starbucks, but I do support local independently-owned coffee houses. There's two that I go to all the time here in Mobile, Alabama: Satori's & Carpe Diem. I like Satori's best. I could basically set up tent on the front porch of Satori's and live there. It's so far out. I love that place. And they hold great concerts. And support the Mobile liberal scene (of which I am involved with).
I recently stopped going to Quizno's after reading about some deceptive practices they use to lure franchisees that have resulted in many store closures and loss of life savings to local people around here.
I don't agree with most MNCs and their exploitative policies but I still buy the occasional bottle of coke, for example. The only brand I absolutely refuse to buy is Nestlé. Even their "fair trade" coffee is a big joke.
I don't support dark chocolate. I hate it. Milk chocolate... And I'll only buy them in mini sizes, not the big bars. I know that's off topic, sort of, but it fits. Pet peeves.
Yes their coffee is way overpriced and it sucks and I throw away the Starfucks gift cards I get for Xmas every year. beatle, I know kitty personally and I'm fairly certain she was talking specifically about someone who would start a rumor that Starfucks was doing something that did not support the troops, not you. She has a general "live, be free, don't judge" policy toward individuals and wouldn't call you a hate-monger unless you were pretty extreme.
I don't drink coffee... so I don't buy it. I have never drank it. I don't drink energy drinks aside from pop. I am apathetic to a lot of things so I don't participate with those things. Mostly I'm bad and buy gas, clothes probably made from kids, go to Wal-Mart, drink hormonal milk although I want organic milk but honestly that shit is expensive, and prescription drugs even though the prescription drug companies are evil and yes I want to work for a lab probably from one of these evil companies because they can develop something for someone.
well i don't support the oil and automitive industries, i don't own a motor vehicule. period. i don't support violent revolutions, including those supported by the country i live surrounded by. i generaly, as nonconfrontationaly as possible, avoid supporting any kind of aggressiveness, beligerance, fanatacism, prejudice, chauvanism, the financial services industry, the insurance industry, corporate controlled media. corporatocracy in general to the fullest extent it is practical to avoid. pseudo-concervative politics. (as for real conservative politics, if i every figgure out what the hell that is and if there really is any such thing ... i'll have to give it some honest and objective consideration. well some kinds of traditions might be cool, and cooler ones COULD exist, as long as there not prioritised ahead of the kind of world we all have to live in) i don't support the demonizing of honest non-monetary lifestyles. nor hierarchies as an end in and of themselves. =^^= .../\...
I don't do cars, and I don't support the troops. Well, I don't think I actually support many things... come to think of it.
yeah, that's cool. it's no big deal. i just don't want people to think i spread hate. i just heard that through the grapevine; a friend actually told me. i guess i should check my sources first! and thanks.
Same here. But it is impossible to steer clear of buying some of the myriad of products derived in part from the murder industry -- it's so pervasive.
