The Doors are fucking awesome! They have so many great songs and Jim was an incredible poet... I could go on forever about them...

 

I agree they are good, but really overratted.

 

Like OMG, they are like so like fuckin cool, I'd like fuck Jim's fat dead corpse after that like so cool overdoze!!!

yes the doors are overrated, big time. I think that is due in part to jim morrison's early departure and his huge following. They were a decent band that seems to get a little too much praise. They had decent musicians and an overblown wanna-be poet who was actually a drunk with crazy ideas.

I think it would be fitting for scotty stapp to be the next lead singer in the band.

 

I love The Doors... it's too bad that posts like these ones are the only "tributing" them. I guess people shouldn't base their opinions on the fans' way of writing about them! Just go listen Isaac Albéniz through "Spanish Caravan" and you'll know if you like them or not...

I love the Doors.

I think Pressed Rat was only joking, but it's weird that discussions about music tend to bring out aggressiveness in many people... whether it's a band's official fan board, a general music discussion on the net or even casual chatter among friends. Very puzzling.

 

hmm... i actaully havn't listened to them much. they r ok, but nothing special.

 

Do you know him? He might know more about music than you.

 

And anyway they wouldn't teach you about good music in school anyway, because it's shit.
