Is it alright to extract salvia with nail polish remover(cutex)? Also can you get acetone at target? Oh and one more question, can you smoke all of the types of salvia? Like salvia officianilis (spelling?) or the violet flowering ones?
all salvia is smokable. however the only one with these type of effects, atypical psychedelic style, are thought to be salvia divinorum. Some other salvias are rumored to be psychoactive, but differently. common sage, which I belive to be officianilis or whatever, contains thujone, in fact, up to 50% of its essential oil is thujone. Thujone hasn't been proven psychoactive however the experiences of mine and others say it is. Thujone is in wormwood, mugwort, juniper, if you've heard of people smoking those. thujone is also in absinthe. acetone is used as a nail polish remover and a paint remover, so might be at target. Salvia can also be extracted with alchohol. I don't know about cutex.
yeah there is acetone in nail polish remover... amongst other things. get the pure stuff from a hardware store with the other solvents.
Well if I'm using other kinds of salvia, (not divonorum) should I still be extracting them ( and using the salvia divonorum extracting method or some other one?) ? Sorry for all the questions -Uninova
Bump, could someone please answer my last question about wether or not to extract the salvia if I dont have divonorum or to jus smoke the leaves?
why would you try to extract salvia (not) divinorum at all? as far as I know other varieties of sage leaf are not psychoactive. yet, if you choose to, I think same procedures would apply, as the divinorum.
So your doing it just to smoke? you realize it will have few effects, if any at all? and if not for the effects, why extract? if you're thinking of a certain chem you want to smoke, then you have to find out how soluble the chem is and with what.
