Like newspapers, magazines, meat, Mc Donalds, perfumes, etc. Not because of any cause, but simply because you never use it.
i'm against large scale meat production practices, i refuse to buy it. i avoid purchasing produce not grown locally and organically. i don't buy fast food when at all possible to avoid it. i don't wear synthetic fabrics, i recycle everything i can. my main guilty pleasure is the computer. i'm not currently in a position of raising my own produce, though i intend to do so, organically, of course. mainly it's just stuff that makes sense to me on a small scale. i'm not a foaming at the mouth sort of environmentalist. but there are certain areas where i'm not apathetic.
I don't support the war in Iraq but i support the troops because they are fighing for what they belive in
I am against drinking and driving.. I had two friends die from drunk drivers. fukn idiots.. I hope they burn. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to drink.. but never to drive when drunk, thats ignorant. I also do not support the war in iraq. Or politics in any way.
I don't support PETA because they're extremist, I don't support animal shelters that kill because it's not the animals' fault no one wants them, I don't support Republicans because they're idiots and I don't support my exwives because they're fuckin' lazy and need to get jobs.
After watching Super-Size Me I've had a sudden aversion to McDonald's aka. McObesity, McFlatulence, McImpotence, McHeart Attack, McCancer ....etc...... Hotwater
i don't support starbucks because they won't send their coffee to the troops in iraq . support the troops, NOT the war!
No cable tv, no cellphone, no magazines.. I rarely eat out.. & When I do I like to get stuff from local Mom & Pop joints. Ummm...We don't use fabric softener. I cut my own hair & I don't get my nails done. (many women do around here)
i guess i've gradually gone pretty crunchy. no big box stores, no fast food chains, no mainstream groceries, for years i was car-free (learning to drive now but planning on going fry oil) no meat, no factory farmed anything, processed foods, minimal synthetic medications, no birth control that messes with my cycle or containing n-9, no artificial flavors, colors preservatives, no MSG, no synthetic fibers or chemical cleansers, perfumes or body care products, no make up, no razors, no combs. i've been vegetarian for 12 years or longer and i don't support PETA either.
I agree with almost all the people who have posted. great replys.. Its great that you all are doing away with all the things that pollute and destroy our country. keep it up. I also can't wait untill we get a democratic party take over the office. It will be interesting to see another side take over and do some good to all this crap going on right now. I hope so anyways...

this is a false rumor, spread to attack anti-war activists as well as starbucks, driven by one man's impulsive spite, based on an empty, friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend word-of-mouth rant: http://www.snopes.com/politics/military/starbucks.asp i am no overwhelming fan of starbucks, as they sometimes do pose a threat to small private coffee houses. however, as corporations go they could do a lot worse, and take good care of their employees. there is enough hatred in the world without spreading lies like this.
