The Great society is awesome. Totally trippin, Portis Head Gets you grooving. The doors of course, Electric Prunes, Bjork, Iron Butterfly. Just to name a few.

 

I agree with the notion that any music you personally like, will sound amazing on acid, but only to an extent. Punk is not good acid music.

My best experiences have been with Black Sabbath(Space Caravan FTW!), The Who, and Primus(listening to Frizzle Fry, alone in a dark room was a terrible, horrifying experience, but in a good way.

i really enjoy zeppelin, hendrix, the doors, janis, strawberry alarm clock,bob marley,bowie,patti smith,jefferson airplane,peter tosh, moby grape, donovan while im tripping but i have to say the ultimate acid music has to be dark side of the moon by pink floyd. listen to the whole thing from start to finish and its absolutely amazing

 

id have to say psychedelic trance is phenominal. even not tripping, its like parts of my mind collapse and flip round the individual peices of music.
when im stoned i see the music in my head, and you see extensions of the music. like waking dreams coming out of each peice of sound, that the music is creating. it can often feel like your not even listening to music. thats why i love "mind-manifesting" trance.

 

it depends what mood i am in and how high i am... a lot of times i like no music at all. i am a musician so my music gets priority and for the most part i play my own music or none at all.

when i do listen to music or go out to a show it is... ratdog, moe, string cheese incident, the beatles or tool. (i havent seen ratdog live yet, and i dont think i will ever get to see the beatles.)
