...they dont want us to find deep friendships and to connect.... they want us to keep separated and alone. look at the "commune" posts in this forum> so MANY are lookin for some other people to create something outside the system> its always the same> you have a great vision of a community, but you cant make it happen because of lack of "same kind of friends"! but the posts show that there is potentially more than enough folks to create loads of commune: and THAT, is the secret weapon of the system/matrix...: they let us dream a bit, but then, they have created a system that makes us so alien and disconnected to our REAL friends and soulmates. TRust me, its not a coincidence, its something that is there to make us alienated to our own kind. its time to wake up...
In a true commune, one would eventually become self sufficient. Obviously not over night, but for sure over time, with in a few generations. It is the best way to rid yourself of the Capitalist shackles. I have always been a fan of downsizing government influence. People can choose to take care of themselves, with close family and friends to depend on. That way, you are looking out for the common interest of your little society and striving to provide for yourself what you need. Than the capitialist winner takes all society will have no impact on your mini society. Kind of a short version of what I have written about.
"Divide and conquer" is the simple way of saying it. People unified in their beliefs and ideas/ideals could be a threat to the system or at least in the support of mantaining it.
your absolutely right about the governments of the world wanting us all to be lonely and disconnected. that's another way they control people. they have their religions tell us to only be intimate with 1 person they have their news channels tell us to love the people in our country and kill those in another and they tell us the definitions of love and connection so that most people dont ever realize that the "love" they feel is only a controlled definition of a wonderful thing. Communes can work, free love does work, and for everyone to reconnect they have to be willing to let go of this society and the "safety nets" it offers so that they can truely be free most people are afraid that if they open up to something like free love that they'll feel jealousy and resentment, but that's only because they've been "educated" by their parents and priests to feel those awful things towards something of such amazing beauty.
The 9/11 truth movement is the grand uniter against the status quo. When cognitive dissonance is dealt with, the rest will take care of itself, including the pervasive lonliness that western society propagates.
I can honestly say, this is one thought that has never entered my mind, though I am aware of the "divide and conqure" technique. I'd have never applied it to my personal aquantainces/friends. I tend to think of that on a more grand scale as dividing by religion, race, education, affluence, and the like. So, you're saying that this happens on a more personal level? So that maybe our access to the net, and cable TV, driving solo in our cars - adds to the isolation and lonliness we feel? I'm sure there are more examples, but those came to me right off.
You cannot rely on movements to unite anyone. I have always been leery of movements of any kind because they are too easily infiltrated, and before you know it you have people calling themselves "leaders," leading the herd much in the same way humanity is already being lead to its demise. People need to unite as INDIVIDUALS who understand what's happening, not by joining groups or politicial parties, or by following self-appointed leaders or gurus. But going back to the original thread... yes, they do want to keep us divided and from having meaningful relationships with each other. Society has been domesticated, and the average people can only judge others based on their own conditioning, instead of accepting someone for who they are. This is by design and is part of a long social engineering process.
We tend to forget we are society ourselfes ... society is not out there. And any change starts within ... and to change this society, we gotta start within ourselves right on the spot. As individuals, we are alone by nature ... we are indeed on our own. It does not mean we are lonely ... loneliness comes from feeling disconnected within ourselfes ... feeling abandoned, and apart from our own inner sources, disconnected from our own vision, and from our own spiritual path far from any prefabricated doctrine. We are Not. But as long as we look without - not within where the true power of humans lays hidden - we kinda cultivate this kind of co-dependancy, neglecting what is our own, even as we create a substitute universe of temporary fulfillment, fears and other dreams of power all at the same time ... this includes feelings of being lonely, disconnecting from what is our own, and denial of who we are. I believe no social engineering system in this world is able to lock us down unless we allow it so. But when we start to see that the system is indeed what we draw to ourselfes - that we are co-creators -, we might come to see what we truly want. And so ... I thought it does not really matter whether or not a system wants to buy us in order to divide and conquer. There are always systems created in order to control freedom. But then, we are the ones in control, as we are the ones who sell it. If it was not up to us, who else would be in charge anyway ? Just thoughts.
They will never suceed in "keeping us lonely." There will always be within us the deep seated desire to connect to the rest of us. They cannot suceed in their most nefarious plans, and they know this. They can only continue to maintain their current position of power (although it is slowly inflating), but we will always be connecting to each other.
