i was vacuuming yesterday and had to stop and cut about a pound of hair out of the rollers.
i have to do that occasionally, because apparently whatever i shed is enough to clog a standard vacuum, even though i take particular pains to only brush over a trash can.
is that just weird? am i alone here? does anyone else get blamed for accidentally breaking household appliances?

i took a picture of the huge pile of hair, i think it's hilarious. :D

You want to fight with hair in a vacuum cleaner, you ought to try vacuuming after our four house dogs during shedding season.

i've hadta replace my wheels on my wheelchair many m any times before they were even slightly worn down just cause id get my dreads wrapped around the axels so often they would get stuck on
but dreading solves the shedding problem but then you get a whole new problem with them getting tangled in everything..like shutting car doord s on them

my suggestion..if you dont want to lose 5 pounds of hair everytime u brush
    dont brush

i get this problem, but am soon to whack off about five inches of hair, and this will hopefully alleviate my dilemma. thanks for the feeling of fellowship!

    :) no prob.

so, as long as you don't leave that 5 inches on the floor, your vacuum should be okay.

Yahh, it's definatelllyyy happened to me...
Actually I've gotten my hair caught in it, annd my
Pants (they're pants that are ripped with strings and drag along, so they got cought)
    ..Beads and String.

I am afraid to vaccum after all that.

I've also been blown in the face with a leaf blower at full speed.
(not that, that counts or anything. ADD there)

YES. My hair has a life of its own, and it refuses to stay in my scalp lol. I have to take scissors to the vacuum to cut the hair out. But be careful to everyone taking hair out of the vacuum cleaner, make sure you unplug it first because my aunt lost one of her fingers that way. eep!

Yep, occasionally I have to do that kind of maintenance on our vacuum cleaner. (OUR - meaning me and my roommate.) It's usually something else that clogs it up, but the hair caught in the roller is most likely mine.

I've also had to unclog the bathroom sink and the tub drain. The main cause there seems to be my hair.

I like my long hair, and I don't have any plans to cut it short any time soon.

Bah.... I don't vacuum that often anyway. And the one I have is 30+ years old. Well, maybe 20 or so. But it works wonders when I decide to use it!

I do have a problem with the bathroom sink and in the shower though! The sink is the worse because I always brush above it! It sucks!
