Do any of you kynd folk have any idea where I can find an affordable, perhaps slightly used dining room table and chairs. I'm thinking some where below $300, but I know that's not a lot for furniture these days. I'm having good luck finding some pretty good finds, but I'm in need of a table and chairs...4 chairs would be best. Anyone have any links to a good site or something? Thanks for your time.
and dumpsters! my boyfriend's entire speaker system came from the trash! and its theater quality too!
I once bought 2 really nice antique dining tables at an auction for $5. That is rare, but you often find things for cheap. Nice things, too.
Garage Sale season is coming up.... There are always people getting rid of furniture, if you don't mind sacrificing a saturday morning driving around looking for something. You may be lucky to score a dining table ~ with matching chairs, even!
I don't know about where you live but in Maine there are a lot of unfinished furniture places. They have tables for $100 and chairs for $25 a piece.
You might even be able to get one for free with FreeCycle. look up a FreeCycle group for your home town, state on Yahoo groups. groups.yahoo.com flea markets, yard sales, thrift stores, etc. that's the only way I go for buying "new to me" stuff.
