so apparently... (segregation on hipforums)

guys aren't allowed to post in the Lesbian forum.
I mean, I guess this makes sense and all, to avoid dickheads posting shit like 'are there any couples with cam here?' and 'lesbians are hot because...' but really, c'mon. How can you have segregation on a hippie forum? Do you really want to block yourself off from other's input?
I can't remember what my post that got deleted said, but I'm pretty sure it was probably quite a valid point.

Your thoughts?

 

Sometimes a person or group of people are just not all that interested in what someone outside their specific interest has to say. If someone with the authority to delete an otherwise enlightened post by you then I'd just stay clear of the forum because anything you say is not likely to be well received regardless of what you say.

 

probably so. i don't care though. i've got plenty of places here where i squat and i do just fine.

I don't agree with it. It's as if they think blocking men from coming in there will prevent all flaming. If a harassing post comes up, (which could possibly come from a man OR woman) it should be dealt with by the moderator just like on any forum in here. In fact, I think the "lesbian women ONLY" advisement just makes it more appealing to go in there and flame.

Yeah I wasn't saying that you meant harm, but it may have come off that way just because people are really sensitive when it comes to the ability to birth their own children. It sucks really, because a person may have to choose one kind of happiness and fulfillment over another kind of happiness that is just as fulfilling, never getting all of the happiness they deserve. Some straight people shouldn't have kids, because they are fuckin deadbeats who can't take care of children; meanwhile, many WOULD BE wonderful parents are left with nothing, or maybe just a kid who's not biologically theirs, and it's not fair because, even though they may learn to love an adopted kid as if it were their own, they still may never know the joy of giving birth to a baby and knowing that it was once a physical part of them and that they created it out of love.
