Have a newbish question even though I've been growing (simply) for a couple years. For the first time, I have a couple plants showing sex about 30 days in (of course they're male). In all my past grows I've had to wait for alternating nodes, switch to 12/12, then another week to tell for sure. These two have multiple, multiple balls and I think I'll pull them well before flower time so as not to risk them popping. These are from a group of seeds I've grown before, same environment, different soil. I dunno, just wondering if I can take away anything from this occurrence.
some strains just show their sex early and it is always the males that show first, what you can take away from this is ALWAYS check the plant or plants for sex
They were around 10" of "vertical" growth at the time (main stem, but I train them low). First time this has happened, now it's about 45 days in (40 for a couple out of 12), a couple still aren't showing, but the light's getting changed over tomorrow.
No showing sex early doesn't compromise bud potency. If you are sure they are female, by all means start cloning.
