So I've been forced to quit for three months due to money issues, and I don't know if I should visit a doctor, or if these things happen to people who quit smoking pot. *I'm never hungry anymore. I eat maybe one meal, and two or three small snacks a day for the last couple weeks. This has resulted in my going from 191lbs to 175lbs... yeah, two weeks! *Can't sleep. Last night was the first night in the last week and a half that I've had more then 6 hours of sleep, and thats because I only had two the previous night *My gut feels strange all the time, almost as if I've got a mild case of heartburn but 24hours a day *The last is kind of discusting.... so prepair yourself or stop reading. Usually after taking a crap, the last wipe is mostly blood. There are no pains or cuts there, its almost as if my digestive system is moving too fast, and the byle isn't mixing with the blood fast enough..
Lack of hunger and sleep are very common once you begin to quit. It should take a few weeks to get over. THe bloody stool is a concern and you should totally see a doctor. Tell him/her how much weed you smoked and that you quit. The gut pain is a result of nothing in your stomach. You're very hungry, but have no appetite. Put some more will power behind eating. If you eat very little than eat very healthy. Making sure the only things you eat can at least give you sustainance.
I second the motion. See a doctor and don't leave out any details when explaining the situation to him/her. Best of Luck.
I can't sleep for 2 or 3 days after going cold turkey (from everyday smoker) and my appetite takes a day to regenerate, but don't worry about either of those two they will go away, I'd go ask about the bleeding though dude, I know my doctor doesn't give a fuck about me smokin bud, but if I were you, I would definitely explain the situation to the fullest so he can make things right for ya..
A reslut of quitting? Heh. If I quit cold-turkey, I usually have some difficulty falling asleep that night. However, that is easily cured with an OTC sleep-aid and after that, I am 100% fine. No changes in behavior, eating habits, sleep, etc. I've never heard of somebody shitting out blood as a result of quitting mary-jane... you should really get that checked out.
cannabis doesn't make you shit blood. have you been punched in the ass recently? ask a doctor if you have been punched in the ass...
Update: I have a huge Ulser, and it just got worse because I would get high, not feel the pain, and drink soda. Not cool.
excreting blood is never positive, that sucks about the ulcer. with your hunger, try eating vegetables and fruits [rabbit food], because i can eat them a ton and not get filled up, but at least its eating. there are sleeping pills for your insomnia.
Well I probably wont be of much use on this thread. But I did bring up weight issue with my parents to let me keep smokin weed. When I did E I dropped from 140 to 108 in like 2 months, and then I started to get clean and gain weight back. Im up to 140 again now but whenever I quit smoking I always loose weight. Im not talking about a couple pounds either, if I quit smoking I'll loose around 10lb/week. Its ridiculous I just won't have any appetite, even if I'm at school and around food I just won't feel hungry. So to be honest with you my only advice is take many, and many small snacks throughout the day if you want to gain weight. I know this sounds nasty to some but the way I gained a lot of weight back was mcdonalds. Eat like 2 medium fries a day from there, but you did say your short on money for weed, which means your short on money for food, but if you do smoke weed and start to feel better your gonna want to buy food anyways so your still gonna spend even more on food then so your screwed either way, so I guess just try working more at your job? Hopefully you have one or something homes. wow im rambling lol I just smoked up.
the bloody stools is a major concern - if you have hemmeroids, you will feel it all the time. if you dont have hemmeroids then you should not have blood in your stool. unless its beetroot, see a doc!! and the symptoms of hard to sleep, extreme lack in appetite - these things should go away after a week or two. unless you were a real heavy smoker - in which case youve got some issues to deal with
See man start to take gelatin capsules 3 a day honestly they cost about 5 bucks for 30 capsules buy then on a homeopatic pharmacy they will help you as hell and take a lot of propolis with honey cos man ulcers kill mayby not now but when you are older they came back and rip your life of
Sorry to hear about the ulcer. Avoiding fast food and soda (aka sugar water) is a much bigger favor that you can grant your body than cutting yourself off from marijuana could ever be. Although that isn't to say that limiting marijuana intake is a bad idea either... For your troubles sleeping, among other things I would be sure to get into some kind of a routine before you plan to hit the sack each night. For instance, taking a very hot shower before standing in a relatively cold environment for a minute or two can do wonders after a few nights (rapid temperature changes = fatigue). Incense, a distinct meal, or even 15 minutes of reading can also let your body know that it's time to shut down for the night if you stick with it for long enough. Kind of frustrating at first, but it can eventually elicit healthy, natural sleep without any annoying side effects to deal with the following morning.
Yea man see a doctor. But weed helps me sleep and you not used to sleeping w/o it, leaves your body to fall asleep for itself.
Probably just withdrawls. Not sure about the bloody stool thing though. Whenever I quit smoking (cigarettes) I usually feel like shit for a few days. I just quited recently 'cause I'm outta school now and i think the worst is over. Any time your body is used to getting a drug and then you stop, there will be signs. Just tough it out and things will get better!
